Des Moines West KOA Holiday

We stayed a week 5/28 - 6/4/18 while attending family celebrations in the Des Moines area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The evening of our arrival one young man on staff checked back with us before he went home for the night to assure we were able to get our refrigeration working. The park is clean and well cared for. We look forward to a return visit

Love this koa. it is so quite and the staff are very friendly. the bathrooms at this KOA are very nice along with the store. I can see why this KOA got the Founders award.. very nice campground. When I travel again to Iowa I will stay here again.

This KOA are THIEVES. If you are planning on having an extended stay here please reconsider. We left 2 weeks before our month was up due to the owner foul language towards us and they refuse to refund any money due to a policy that even their own staff was unaware of. Owner claim she couldn’t re-rent the spot because we weren’t schedule to leave so soon, she re-rented the spot within an hour and got double their money. We had many issues with the KOA over the winter months unfortunately they are the only place in the area open for the winter. The campground itself is beautiful but that’s it.

I did not spend the night at this KOA. Simply because I was checking it out for a friend. If you're looking for and nice Campground located right off Interstate 80 in Iowa, I can highly recommend. Staff was very friendly. Property has many amenities. From great Wi-Fi to 75 foot pull through campsites with full hookups. They even have their own pizza delivery. I am recommending this to a friend who is traveling through Iowa with his motorhome and three dogs.
