Timberline Campground

I would have given this campground a 5 star based on friendly staff, super clean park and being well maintained. Just wish all sites where FH. The main reason for a three star vs a 5 star is there appears to be a gun shooting range next to the park. It when on until 7:30 PM and terrified our dogs. Glad we didn't have small children. As a gun owner, camping next to a shooting range, makes me nervous. Accidents do happen. Can't believe a city allows an outdoor shooting range in the city limits. Otherwise, what a gorgeous park.

Giving 2 stars because I was able to stay at a fair rate off season with water and electric. The bathrooms we're dirty and cold. The hot water was scalding. Listened to gun shots every night because it's located right next to a gun range. The owner's, although nice, miscommunicated with each other and some guests were charged for electric ($500+ for 6 weeks) and others were not charged at all. I was not there during the season so I don't know about the pool but I recommend that you don't let your children jump into the showers without making sure the hot water is at a safe temperature.

Very cool place. Visited on a crazy busy weekend and they threw together a camp spot for us (in a good way). Very friendly staff. Pool was fun and tons of things like ping pong and an arcade. Staff helped us with everything even running some electricity to our campground make shift. Definitely a great camp ground.

Camping spots are close together, which might not be a favorite thing for those with big rigs or who prefer their privacy. However, the facilities are decent and kids will certainly enjoy their pool all day on a hot, humid day.

We had a great experience here mid July. The couple who recently purchased the campground are so friendly and accommodating and even stayed 10 min after closing so we weary travelers could check in. They will definitely take great care of the campground and make improvements over time. Bathrooms are regularly cleaned, pool looked clean and kids looked happy. Playground was nice. Campfire pits were emptied out and ready to use. Grass was green and nice for tenting. Would recommend!
