My sister made an Appt. at Desert Pediatrics Eastern Location for 8/26 @1pm., the Appt. was for my 10-year old nephew who suffers from chronic asthma and was experiencing chronic cough with fever for 5 days. The Appt., was scheduled for 1pm. and she arrived at 1:13pm., her arrival was delayed because there was construction on the streets near the facility. Once my sister arrived, she was advised by the front desk, that her son will not be seen because she was late and my nephew was turned away without being seen. My sister asked to speak to the office Manager "Lupe" who showed no empathy to the situation. My sister explained in a pleading manner the reason for the late arrival hoping she'd understand, but got nowhere. Lupe made the ultimate decision, that my nephew would not be seen. I called the office today and talked to Jojo front-desk to inquire about Lupe's clinical or medical licensing, turns out Lupe holds no medical or clinical licensing, therefore lacking knowledge in the medical field to make the right decisions for patients. My concern is; How can an office manager with zero clinical or medical licensing make these types of decisions without consulting with the physician in the office, or triaging my nephew before turning him away. This is a huge liability for Desert Pediatrics and is not focused on centered quality patient care, especially when it comes to treating children. My sister stated Lupe showed no empathy toward the situation and was speaking and treating her in a very condescending manner. I've worked in the medical field for 18+ years and know for a fact that facilities are not to turn patients away without triaging them to make sure they don't require immediate attention. I hope my review falls in the right hands of the business owners/partners or Admin and, that Lupe is trained properly with urgent matters as such, especially if she plans to continue her career in healthcare/pediatrics. This review was made with the true intensions to create awareness and expose unethical medical staff who negligently jeopardize the health of the ill.
Went to the Eastern and St. Louis location. Everyone here is amazing so far. We transferred from A Las Vegas Medical Group because they are no longer pediatrics only and the level of care has fallen drastically since Dr. Dominic retired. Front desk was very helpful and accommodating when I went to the wrong address and showed up late. I originally requested Dr. Batra but we saw another doctor, who didn't introduce herself, but her sense of urgency in tending to my ill son and her manner was wonderful. My son screamed the whole time but they were so patient and understanding. We will be seeing her again next month for our wellness check. Thank you again, Desert Pediatrics
These people don’t give you the option to vaccinate or not vaccinate your child they will simply tell you they don’t want to see you even if you don’t want to vaccinate your child due to religious purposes they also threaten you on text message numerous times to get your child to take it that should be a choice not something decided on by a doctor did not take your kids here to this place
We have been here for almost 3 years. Wait time is average. We’ve noticed early appointments are best less wait time. Dr Wiener is our preferred provider and always answers all of our questions. Very knowledgeable and patient. My oldest hates the drs office, but Dr wiener always assess kiddo on my lap. We have always gotten a same day sick visit at the teneya. The eastern location is not my favorite, but the teneya location is the best. The staff isn’t perfect, but if you are polite they will do their best to accommodate you.
The care has gone downhill at this location and I was left today with just confusion. Waited over an hour for a scheduled appointment and spent 8 minutes with the provider for 2 children for a yearly checkup. No directions but come back in 2 weeks for an infection found. I found out through my pharmacy that a medicine was prescribed. Sad care. Late providers always. Be ready to get there early because they go in order of arrival and still wait. Nurses are nice.
I have been going to this office since My Twins was born in 1997. I was just informed starting this year they no longer except patients 18 and older. Then lied and said they sent out information informing me of this. Which was not true. Now My Youngest Child is sick and 18 and because of the lack of their professionalism I was just notified of this information this morning. Dr Wiener is a Great Pediatrician, but his office staff is horrible and has decreased in Customer Service, being Organized, and just even being considerate for other people have really decreased tremendously in the past 10 years.
This place is a disgrace! Their facility is dirty, overwhelmed, and unprofessional. I’ve had to wait up to 45 min in the lobby and another 20 min in the office to be seen with my daughter. I called to ask a question about my three month old and didn’t receive a call back. My final visit my boyfriend ARRIVED 1 MIN late. They made him sign a late form and told him he could be dismissed from the office if it happened again. Nobody should treat my or your family like that.
Some of the staff’s are so unprofessional. Too much time waiting, they don’t follow appointment time. Doctors are just ok, I’m not satisfied with how they treat my daughter, seems like they’re in a hurry. Called the office late at night, the one whom I talked to is so sarcastic and unethical when handling people’s concern. So disappointed.
I am happy I chose this doctors office for my kid's. They are fairly quick at seeing my kids and I like the lady we see here.
I take forever to let they check on you , even though I have appt with doctor , I still have to wait over an hour but they are not busy at all , not recommend it
