Quickly rose to one of my three favorite record shops in town. Tucked away in the quiet Sellwood neighborhood it’s a gem of a shop. ESPECIALLY if you’re into jazz! I always have a hard time as they have too many albums I want every single time I walk in! Amazing owners/staff.
Very friendly. He had a wonderful sale. I cant wait yo go back. I'm happy to give him my business.
Easily the best collection of used jazz vinyl, including unique imports. I rarely visit other stores now, as I'm most interested in jazz. Keep up the good work! and let's kill those damned stickers that ruin uncoated sleeves
Our first visit to Dig came too late in the day. We had an hour before closing and could have spent 4. It quickly shot to the top or our most beloved vinyl shops anywhere. An amazing collection at legit prices. We walked away with some long-sought-after gems. Can't wait to go back and spend more time digging!
Dig Vinyl is such a disappointment. I come across The Doors, Strange Days for $15, a reasonable price except when I check the condition. Even without my glasses I can see several scratches. It's been admitted, that the owner doesn't discriminate about the condition of the albums he takes in. So it's very frustrating to find something I like and want, only to be disappointed by the condition. This happens far too often here.
I needed a gift and only knew a little bit about what I should get. At this store the owner really helped me. He suggested some very good options. He also explained what I should know about those records. He stayed a little late and I really appreciated that because I could only get there shortly before closing. They really seem to have a good Jazz selection and knowledge of the genre. However they do have other genres besides Jazz. The records were well received.
Super low-key spot with a great selection of jazz and rock records. The owner was a super chill and very kind dude, and clearly really knowledgeable.
I really like this shop. Great deals on some uncommon vinyl, easily organized, no filler. Albums appear to have been cleaned well before hitting the floor and that's always a sign of quality shopkeeping to me! The added pleasure of spinning the Turntable of Fortune when you're checking out is the cherry on top
Found this place during my tour of Portlands many vinyl stores. This one is a real gem! A great mix of new and used records. Large Rock, Jazz, and blues sections that encompass both obscure and well known artists. It shows that the owner takes the time to curate what they sell to provide a good selection and value. Many great titles here for astoundingly good prices. I cannot recommend this place enough to vinyl enthusiasts! If I had one suggestion, stop putting stickers directly on album covers!
Rolled in with an arm full of records. Purchased down the street. Great finds. Then I started looking through his shop. His shop had an above, way above, the norm for a record store. All the inventory was neat, organized and from records I purchased there, in great shape. I was way budgeted out for the day. Had to buy a something. I did. Found an album I've been looking for a couple of years. Didn't even scratch the surface of this store. Little afraid to do so. Remember. I was budgeted out for the day. I'll be back next weekend. New week, new budget. More records. Yes.
