I had a superior experience. I waited in the waiting room no longer than 15 minutes. The nurses in the back were exceptional. My procedure went off on schedule and I was given information as soon as I recovered from the anesthesia. The facility was clean and up-to-date. The explanation, for my problem was explained in a very professional way and I would recommend this facility without hesitation.
I NEVER leave reviews but this place FOR SURE has pushed me it. I had two procedures done in December after doctor recommended it. Everything was pretty easy and simple, but after I wasn’t foggy anymore I looked at my prescribed the doctor gave me which is was a medication I used to take that I had previous told the doctor didn’t work for me after I was on it for a bit. Once results came back the doctor said everything looked fine and could not explain my issue. I was so frustrated with having to go through the process, pay what I’ve had to pay, and then only to be told NOTHING to help. I decided to go to someone else who was able to finally find me relief after actually trying to help me. Now I am trying to pay the bill, to which they have me paying three different places instead of utilizing the online portal which they communicate and send appointment things too, but not a bill? The number on one of the bills for weeks has said they are busy and I can not pay it, finally had to call in and leave a message with the actual office. If my medical stuff wasn’t enough stress this establishment cause 1000 times more stress in my life.
The worst. My appointment was at 11:30. I arrived 1/2 hour early as told. They called me back at 12:45 put an IV in me and didn’t do the procedure until 2:00. My Daughter and I left there at 3:00. I never expected to be there 4 hours for a 15 minute procedure. I know Doctors sometimes run behind but it was obvious by the number of people there they over scheduled. Very inconsiderate. I’ve been nauseous for 2 days. A smaller person cannot drink all that stuff and go without food or water for 2 days. Never again.
I'm posting this for my friend. She had an appointment at the Africa Road address. When she got there, she discovered the office is no longer located on Africa Road. She called me to Google the Westerville location for Digestive Associates of Ohio. I thought I found it on County Line Road W. She drove there only to find it is not an office any longer either. Both of us were trying to call the office to get an address. All we could do is leave messages, regardless of what we tried. My friend gave up and went home. What a waste of time and money with the cost of gasoline. Digestive Associates of Ohio are NOT patient friendly. They need to have someone actually answering the phone and assisting. I will encourage my friend to find another doctor.
This place has limited parking. This place called and changed my mother's appointment to a later time two and a half hours before her scheduled appointment with no reason why. The recorded message said to go to the rear on second floor. After climbing the stairs we found the door was locked. We where told the office is actually downstairs. Thier waiting room has limited seating due to COVID so we had to sit outside the office in the cold. They also wanted my cell phone number which I didn't want to give to them. I was told they may not see my mother if I didn't.
I have attempted on multiple occasions to contact the office. No one answers the phone even if you press 0 for doctor or medical facility. I have left multiple messages and no one calls you back.
Most everything that happened inside the building was good. I'd give 4-5 stars for the care I received while I was there. However, the communication with anyone I've tried to contact while I'm not in the building is 1-star level. It's been 2 weeks and was never volunteered my biopsy results, and my call hasn't been returned. Was never given the proper phone numbers to call, because everyone needs an extension and they apparently don't talk to each other. I have little hope of ever talking to my doctor outside of an appointment.
If you have a choice - I would stay away from this office. I needed to see a specialist, got several options from my insurer, and chose this one because of it's proximity to my home. I did see some of the other negative reviews on here - but I foolishly chose to ignore them. The waiting area is dirty, the staff seem apathetic to customer service, and after sitting for a hour not in a room mind you, just sitting in waiting area I asked for an update. They couldn't provide one - and made it seem like it was my fault that "all the rooms are full". During my wait I saw a patient come back in after leaving because the doc there had called in a referral to another doc and was discussing a diagnosis that wasn't even presented to the patient. The patient wanted an explanation - the staff was struggling to give it to him. The doctor in question wasn't available. Finally I had seen enough - cancelled my appointment - will never go back. This office is unpleasant and dirty - if you can, go somewhere else.
I have been a patient for probably 20 years although I have only seen them for colonoscopies. As of late, I have called 3 or 4 times to try and schedule an appointment. I never reach anyone and they don't call you back ever! I finally pushed one of the other extensions and talked to a assistant to one of the doctors. She was to schedule me with the nurse practitioner and gave me a date and said she would have the nurse practioner call me back that very day. That has been a week and a half ago and I still have not heard from anyone! I found another doctor in another busy practice that took care of me right away! I don't know whether the doctors here are aware that they obviously need to offer some customer service training to their hired help or they just don't care! Its ridiculous but I guess they are too busy to care!
Worst service ever for a specialty practice! I visited the Broad St practice in Jan 2018. Uncertain of driving conditions because there were blizzard conditions that day, I ended up arriving over an hour prior to my appointment time. No explanation or apology as to why I had to wait almost an hour PAST my scheduled appointment, even after checking with the front desk! Add to that, was only seen by an assistant not the actual doctor who was chewing food when she entered the room. A procedure was scheduled for the following week at another location which went as scheduled however, the follow up was scheduled for the Broad St location again, which I did not keep due to the poor service.
