Buy the parks pass with your vehicle registration and it pays for itself in two trips! Awesome spot to go for a walk, swim or get a line wet.

There are some great views from this area and some great signs that explain the history and animal habitat of the area. My son and I were heading to Idaho City to scout the condition of some ATV trails and we decided to stop at this Recreation site. There are a lot of great trails some have a pretty decent incline and others are flat. There is a great photo opportunity of the dam. Make sure to wear sunscreen because there is no shade
