Division Do it Best Hardware

Awesome store! Employees are very helpful. She stayed with me until I got everything I needed. She even wrote the information on the parts bag for me. I observed another employee helping a customer and was very patient and sincere!

I had an experience that made my day. I went in to the store on Division St with a problem of Connectivity from my sump pump to my wide hose. There were no connectors. The man who helped me was not daunted. He ended up cutting some PCV pipe and gluing it into the series of connectors. I couldn’t believe his kindness and ingenuity and his doing this all for a simple Customer. Gave me faith in this world. Thank you.

I have been coming here for about 10 years and it's about time I leave a review. These guys and gals have consistently been fantastic in all those years. I'm actually pretty surprised at the consistency. I always have lots of questions around the products I'm buying and what I'm going to use these for and they are very knowledgeable and always willing to help. And there's always staff available, versus going to giant hardware stores where you can't find staff to help. Here they are also relaxed. It really feels like the kind of community hardware store that you would walk into 40 years ago. A great feel. To give an example of the service, I bought some plywood from a lumber store the other day and I don't have a circular saw to cut it to what I need for this small project and it's not worth buying a saw just for this one project. I called multiple lumber stores to ask him if they could cut the plywood down a few inches. They all said they couldn't cut wood for liability reasons. Finally fed up, I came to the hardware store to finally look at buying a saw. When Rick heard that I only needed to do two cuts he said to just bring in the plywood and he would cut it for me. That's service! And that's how it used to be. I have had this experience with all the staff and the older staff have tons of knowledge that has really helped me out in numerous projects. I highly recommend buying local and doing business here.

All the staff seem genuinely interested in helping you! I don't even think it's due to possibly a store policy. Last week was my first time there. They helped make it quick and easy. Today I needed a new lock and almost made it to them before an employee asked if I wanted help. I told them I needed a new lock and rekey old locks. They directed me to another employee and called him "the lock guy". His name is Louis. Turned out he was very in demand! He could barely finish helping one person before another person came in to specifically see him! After he helped me pick out a new lock and finished rekeying my old locks, I can see why. He is great! While the old locks were getting worked on, two other staff helped me find items we are needing to revamp a house. One seemed to be in charge of the paint area. She not only helped me find items but also helped explain why one method/product might be better for my purposes than others. Thank you Do It!

This store gets 5 out of 5 stars when it comes to the staff and what a great little neighborhood hardware store it is. The loss of one star is only because they are not open on Sundays. It seems with all the big box stores like home Depot and everything that they would want to be open on the weekend when everyone is doing home improvement projects. I try to support them as much as I can but I go to home Depot almost every time it's Sunday and I need something. otherwise great little hardware store with knowledgeable staff that are there to help you.

Will continue to be a loyal customer after 2yrs of genuinely helpful service. Once I actually needed something that wasn’t mass produced and an employee made it their mission to engineer the parts custom from what they did have. Pretty awesome.

Pretty much everything you’re going to need to accomplish 99% of your tasks around the house. Competitively priced, and my money isn’t going to nightmare big box corps with no evil political agenda. Yeah, I’m talkin’ about you Home Depot.

It's great to have this Do It Best as a neighborhood resource. This is our go-go stop, whether it's for basics or for specialized stuff for our old house. Friendly staff and little bags of complimentary fresh popped popcorn.

It's a small hardware store in 2022: The novelty value alone is worth 5 stars! They have silly hours close at 5pm during the week, and it is small, but if you live nearby they likely have what you need. They seem to be focused on DIY'ers and not contractors, and that's a good thing.

The staff is awesome and this place has most of the things I need. It’s like they know all the little things that need repair before I do!
