Down Range Tactical

Love Downrange Tactical and Mean Metal (the main store location). I can't say enough good things about the Concealed Carry classes and instructors here- they're the best...they're experts who want you to enjoy safely learning about firearms as much as they enjoy teaching about them. This is a welcoming, clean, and safety conscious environment for the first time shooter, man or woman, young and old alike (none of that boys club mentality, or talking down to new shooters that I've seen in other places over the years). This is my favorite Indoor shooting range, hands down. They have a pistol range and a long gun range. The ventilation is so good, you can visit the range on your lunch hour and don't have to worry that your work clothes will pick up that acrid cordite smell. They even provide lead remover soap in the bathroom. I like that they have a staple gun to hang your targets- one less thing I need to bring with me. I usually call ahead before I go to double check hours, and on a few occasions, they've stayed open a little later to fit my schedule. The range location on US Rte 6 and the store location on the main drag of SV are owned and operated by great people who are very approachable, ready to help as much as you need them, or to give you the space to browse. The range location has weapons, ammunition, targets, and safety gear for purchase, and they are willing to order special items or assist you in finding special pieces. They also stock the locally made line of weapons from Mennie Machine Co, MMC.

Very nice range, common sense range rules, allows dubble tapping, no holster draw, for safety reasons. knowledgeable and friendly staff, very reasonable rates. sells ammo on site. They treat you like adults.

Classes are run in very professional manner, very informative completed by by accomplished professionals. Gun ranges for hand gun, rifles, shotgun and of course semi auto's such as MMCar15's. Associated with MEAN METAL GUNS who also professional and great pricing. .
