Quality Irish fare! Top notch, fresh ingredients across the menu with a good selection of both traditional Irish and American dishes. If you're not sure what to order, get the Irish Sampler; perfect portions and a good intro to Ireland. Servers are prompt, attentive and ALWAYS friendly. Half price burgers on Tuesdays, and their burgers are primo.

It’s fun. It’s local. It’s contrived. It’s come a long way since the late 80ties. You can catch a movie in the theater, which is now updated to have those seats that you reserve, but you can recline. You can have dinner. You should explore outside of the central drag street to get some real delicious variety. In the summer they have entertaining festivals. What is great about Downtown Silver Spring is it’s diversity of food, culture, and people.

The area is on the rise with the mall renovated last year. However, it gets too crowded and still lots of beggars. Most of the restaurants have code on the bathroom doors, and one place didn't let us use their bathroom (we didn't eat there), although I was 8 months pregnant at the time. So not my favorite place, but it's getting better

Busy place. Diverse crowd. Many shops and eateries. I love Silver Spring, but you must
watch out for homeless: they are around when you least expect them and sometimes right in your face.

I got a sub at Potbelly's, which is within a block of 908 Ellsworth Drive. It was good (maybe 4.5 stars). But downtown Silver Spring itself is something of a mess. Lots of traffic and congestion. On the other hand, the parking garages are free on the weekends and there are plenty of shops and stores around. It seems like there's always a Farmer's Market or some other event going on during the weekends, too. It's very convenient to the Beltway, which is how I get there. So, while it's not a location I'd choose to go to, once you're there it's OK.
