DP Martial Arts & Krav Maga Academy

I’ve been going to Krav Maga and kick boxing here for about 3 weeks...I love it! Not only am I learning self defense, but I’m getting stronger & fit. All the instructors are great, they make the classes fun. I look forward to every class & leave feeling great, not only is my self esteem better but so is my mood! I highly recommend JP martial arts academy!

I was introduced to DPMA through their Krav Maga Groupon offer. From the beginning, everyone there was so welcoming and kind. The masters and instructors all go out of their way to remember your name and get to know you. Being that Krav Maga is the first martial arts class I've ever taken, I was extremely intimidated. But Master Doug and Kevin have continually been patient and encouraging throughout every class. You can tell that every staff member is really invested in your progress. I am now a full-time student, which has allowed me to explore other classes like Core-Kickboxing and the 6-Week Get Fit challenge--all of which I would recommend. Lastly, all of my fellow students are incredibly caring and I think that says a lot about this place. It has brought together such a nice little community. Overall, great environment, fun workout, amazing experience!

I was athlete when I was younger now in my 30's I always thought I could get in shape on my own anytime I want. Over the last year I tried and worked and gotten in better shape but I knew deep down I wasn't pushing myself hard enough. I saw an AD on facebook for DP Martial Arts Krav Get Tough challenge for six weeks. I met with an instructor talked about the class and what I wanted to get out of it and figured six weeks with no perm commitment what do I have to lose. After the first class I was hurting all over they push you as hard you will push yourself, but you working out with people who are there for the same reasons and will push you too. After a few weeks I actually looked forward to working out and would do anything I could to make sure I didn't miss one class. My instructor Kevin has been great motivating us pushing us every week is different you never know what he is going throw at you he finds new ways to push and motivate you and keep it fresh. Instructor Austin and Master Doug also have worked with our class and each one brings something different to the work outs. I am now working with them for more personal goals and signing up for another cycle of the challenge. If you want a place where people are always positive and interested in what you want to get out of things and wanting to make you a better person not just collecting your money this is the place you need to go.

Great school to learn martial arts or get in shape. Instructors keep classes fun and exciting while also whipping you into shape. Just finishing up the six week challenge and can't wait to get started on my next one. Our instructor Kevin teaches a team mentality and in return we all help each other through the classes. It doesn't matter whether you are a newbie, or a seasoned martial artist in great shape, everyone works as a team.

I took their 6 week challenge and I am extremely excited with the results so far. The class does very intense work for the first half hour and then a combination of self defense and kick boxing for the second half and it has been great. I am not where I want to be yet but definitely feel the difference when I put my jeans on because I have dropped weight! I have also gotten stronger and I can see my upper body developing which is always fun. I am looking forward to signing up for a second challenge and continue my journey to a better me but none of this would be possible with out the guidance by Master Doug and our trainer Kevin who is amazing! I highly recommend DP Martial Arts Academy
