Dr. Robert W. Herring Jr, MD

I absolutely LOVE everything about this place!! Dr. Herring and his NP Ed Conway are extremely knowledgeable, patient, and caring. Every time I have to see them I am treated more like a guest than a patient. At times there may be a little wait but the ladies up front are AMAZING and always make my visits a pleasant one from the time I walk in the door to the time I walk out. The nurses in the back are very kind, informative, and always have a smile on their faces. I really must say this is one of my favorite doctors to visit....beside some of the other patients in the lobby which can tend to be very rude and disrespectful to the staff at times. I find that very disturbing and would be very pleased to see those type of individuals dismissed from the office. That's the only complaint I have about this facility!! Nobody wants to see or hear all that while waiting to be seen. But I can say that they do handle business and will not allow too much disturbance from those few rude individuals. Overall, I highly recommend Dr. Herring and his staff for your GI needs.

Dr Herring was wonderful and made us feel at ease during my husbands procedure and testing BUT his receptionist lacks class and respect for the patients. While many of the patients are fasting and not even aloud to drink water while awaiting their tests, for over 3 hrs I watched her sit at the window and disgustingly shove her face full of food and drinks and exclaim on numerous occasions that she was dieing of thirst. She lacked cooth and class to be in such a visual position.

Easy to schedule my appointment at the Smyrna office. This allowed me to be flexible and not interfere with work. Staff was very nice, ran a little late but office location was very important to me.

Office was easy to locate. The doctors owns his own surgery suites so I did not have to utilize the hospital for my procedure.

Horrible service. They give you an appointment and then make you wait more than 4 hours to actually get the procedure done. During the wait they never explain how much longer you will have to wait, the only way for us to know was by asking them multiple times, and then after asking multiple times they got an attitude. I would definitively never recommend this place. The doctor was so sour, he had no interpersonal skills and only spend 1 minute with us. Stay far away from here if you are looking for a good medical clinic.
