I booked a appt over two months back and gave them my insurance info then, well on the day of my appt i get a missed call and didn't recognize the number so i call it back and find it to be Dr shroba's office, when i explain who i am and that i have a appt that day at 4pm,the receptionist tells me they had called and left me a message which is not true,i never got a message from them, they called and hung up before i could answer the phone ,well the woman proceeds to tell me that they don't take fallon ppo and i would need to call fallon for a pre authorization, well thats not how it works because i called fallon and they said i would need to get a pre authorization/referral from my primary doctor, when i called Dr shroba's office back they were not helpful at all and obviously didn't know what ppo on my insurance ment,i still could of been seen but would of got hit with a partial cost of visit.I told them it was very unprofessional not to have told me that they didn't take fallon insurance when i booked the appt months back,i have a suspicious mole that needs treatment asap and Dr shroba's staff put me at greater risk of having a severe medical problem by not contacting me atleast with in the first week of making the appt months back so i could of found another doctor
that did take my insurance, instead they call me the day of the appt to tell me they don't take my insurance and tell me theres been alot of changes in the last couple of months.thats very unprofessional and incompetent of that medical practice to do that to people and give such a lame excuse ,there dealing with peoples lives, people go there with pre cancerious conditions and to be allowed to make a appt,to be made to wait two plus months,to be led that they take your insurance after giving them your info and on the day of be rejected and appt cancelled is not exceptable..they need to be held acountable.to whom ever reads this, please reconsider going to these heartless unprofessional incompetent asswholes who make you wait two months to be only turned away.all could of been avoided if they had call with in a reasonable time shortly after appt was made ,insurance was excepted and i was told i would be seen on 4/30/18 then told on this day i would not be seen because there had been changes made in the last couple months and they no longer take fallon insurance ..they ignored me for two months and call me the day of appt, didn't even leave a message and lied saying they did..if they lie about that they will lie about your health if they mess up..don't trust Dr shroba and staff..

I can't say enough incredible things about Dr. Suzanne Shroba!! With the thousands of freckles & moles on my body, she found an extremely small freckle (by my crotch area, of all the places) & said she had concernes about the way it looked (of course it looked "normal" to me). Thankfully, she took a biopsy & it was pre-cancerous!! I have had Melanoma before & have been to many dermatologists. Dr. Shroba is not only a bright Dr. but she has such a great sense of humor too! THANKS FOR EVERYTHING DR. SHROBA!!
On a side note...if you pay for your own healthcare (i.e. the government isn't paying for you) be aware of costs beforehand. Brigham & Women's uses PARTNERS HEALTHCARE for their billing....AND THEY USE UNETHICAL BILLING PRACTICES!! Even if you go for your "annual preventative check-up" & something (i.e. pre-cancerous cells) are "found" in a biopsy, for example, then they will no longer consider the work that is done (i.e. labs, etc.) as "preventative" (& you'll then pay everything out of pocket)...even though you just saved yourself from getting CANCER (& not to mention all of the subsequent cancer bills I would have had that insurance should have to pay for....although for $30,000 a year/personal expense for my insurance with CIGNA, they barely paid for anything)!! So frustrating & sad and SHOULD BE CALLED FRAUD!!!

She's awesome! After going to 4 different Dermatolist in 10 years, Dr Shroba was the only one who found my CTCL lymphoma and sent me directly to Dana Farber's Oncology department. 5 stars or more to Dr Shroba!
