This was a convenient spot to get some late night groceries for our 3 day stay in New York. Prices did seem high but I just assumed that was on par with the rest of NYC. Worked out good though for me and my wife.
They lock up a lot of stuff and then don’t come and unlock it for you, so be prepared for a LONG wait.
I want to say that today I had an AMAZING experience here. The manager was very kind helping out with my requests. It was a small thing, I had to print pictures for a birthday and I was in a super rush, but he was so helpful and diligent about it. Kudos to you Duane Reade manager! You saved me today!
The clerk would not give back to my mom her Walgreens loyalty card. When she asked the clerk to give back the card, the clerk said, "Next time." ?????
A pretty good little grocery shop but the pharmacy downstairs has some issues. We were only after toothpaste and the clerk had a bad attitude and would not assist us in the aisle as the cabinets were locked. After about 5 minutes he reluctantly headed over and opened the cabinet for us.
They don't sell a single mask.
Expensive prices. Other convenience stores have much better prices. I guess it’s to take advantage of tourists. Further, they locked the over the counter medications such as Tylenol and Advil. You have to call someone to help and unlock the glass wall for you. No privacy, and you can’t choose what you want in peace.
Make sure you have nothing better to do with your life before you try calling the pharmacy. They will just keep putting you on hold and will wear you down until you hang up!
