Great store open aisles they have so many different products. I found the pharmacy especially helpful. They were patient and helped get our meds super fast. Sooo nice.
This location is awful, especially the pharmacy department! Julie, the rude and unhelpful assistant behind the pharmacy register, refused to ring up my items and said it was a courtesy to do so. So she was simply lazy and clearly not courteous. There was no line either. One single other person. I mean do your job. But the bar is very low there. Shelves are often empty and out of product. Hard to find help and everyone clearly hates working there. Zero customer service.
For a pharmacy shop Duane has lots of candies, snacks and sodas. Better than Whole Good Market to get US candies for souvenirs for the kids back at home. Friendly cashier service, too.
Open 24/7 customer service is good. Its a very large Duane Reade and everything is on one floor. Lots of snacks and sandwiches available.
Check out cashier was so rude, he bend my credit card and didn't even say sorry, he blamed me for not knowing how to pay
The customer service has greatly improved in the past year 2022-23. There was one woman who was not friendly or helpful, nor too smart. She's gone. Now I find them very responsive, friendly and helpful. And the pharmacy is open every day, unlike many other Duane Reades or Walgreens. Highly recommend this particular Duane Reade corner E 56 & Third, NYC.
I've been going to this store every weekend for the last 3 or 4 years, I work overnight and it's super disappointing that they are no longer going to be open 24hrs. I literally have nowhere eles to go now because all the other stores in this area close so early.
Scam store. 24 hour store supposedly and they close at 11PM. Take the sign off if you not gonna be open 24/7.
Worst pharmacy and probably the rudest pharmacist I have ever encountered. She wouldn't even give me her full name. Bichel...Bijal...Bitchal? She was ghetto and hard to understand. My medication was supposed to be delivered a week ago. I've called 4 times about it at this point. The employees are incompetent and lazy. Even when you go into the store, there are usually long lines and many of the workers are standing around talking to each other doing nothing. And don't even get me started on the worthless security guards who literally watch people steal and play on their phones instead of saying or doing something. The only reason it deserves even 1 star is because of the location and that it's 24 hours.
I don't know why any company would choose to rebrand their entire chain of Convenience Stores into Inconvenience Stores. Everything is always locked behind cabinets, which would almost be palatable if it didn't consistently take 10+ minutes to get the item behind the cabinet. It's faster, cheaper, and more convenient to just walk further to another store. I hope this store either rebrands back into being a convenience store, or just closes, so an actual convenience store can finally open at this location.
