this place is amazing. The coach is from Brazil and was an Olympic fencing coach. The prices are reasonable and the classes are fantastic.
My son had his 10th birthday at Duke City Fencing today and had a great time. Neither he nor any of his friends had ever fenced and Toby, the owner, spent over two hours with them teaching them the basics of fencing. The end of the lesson the kids got to fence one another in full garb. Everyone had a blast. Duke City fencing set up tables for our food, supplied the silverware, plates and cups and cleaned up. A very nice facility and a lot of fun. My husband also participated and it was quite the workout he said. My son now wants to take fencing lessons. Highly recommend!
I have been on a busy, stressful trip away from home and I was missing my salle and looking for a way to work out, get some fencing in, and relax for a bit. So I took a chance and went to Duke City Fencing. Toby and everyone at the salle were amazing. Everyone was welcoming and enthusiastic. They found me gear even though I fence lefty and Toby herself suited up to bout me in sabre since there was no one else fencing sabre that night. If Duke City Fencing is this welcoming and accepting of a traveler passing through, I can only imagine the support students get there on a daily basis. Strongly recommended! If I find myself in Albuquerque again, I will be back!
We brought a party of 7 adults for their Fence-for-fun arrangement, and they did not disappoint! They catered the fencing style to our personal abilities, were very flexible to ensure we had a fun time, and even set up music to accompany our group's pirate party theme. Very professional, very unique, and very fun!
Duke City Fencing is the best place to fence in New Mexico. It even compares well with the top fencing schools on the two coasts and in Europe.
I am a fencer there and am having a great time. The classes have enough students so that everyone can fence but not too many students where the coaches can't individualy help students.
Love this place. Kind, knowledgeable people who quickly become friends. Great for my 15 year old son as a beginner.
Really good. Parking on the side.
