Duos Catering

Living in Puyallup and throwing a wedding for my daughter in Seattle, I had no idea of where to begin looking for a caterer. I researched like crazy online and came upon Duos. Reading over their reviews, I got in contact with them. What a fantastic operation! Rachel was so patient with all of my questions and changes to the menu. The tastings of menu foods confirmed that we had found what we were looking for in a caterer. As we got closer to the wedding date, Rachel was there checking and re-checking our plans for food, rentals, and seating arrangements. The day of the wedding she and the staff were amazing in setting up and serving for 180+ guests. The food was so delicious! Our guests could not say enough about the food and how much they loved it all! From the appetizers right down to the late-night snack, Duos exceeded our expectations.

I think my husband and I were very lucky, because all of our wedding vendors exceeded our expectations. However, we were most impressed with James and the Duos team. The food was the most important thing to me for the reception. I love to cook and entertain and I do it often, so I felt that our guests would be expecting good wedding food (lots of pressure to get it right!). My husband and I both loved the food we had at the tasting, but Duos somehow made it even BETTER for the wedding. Our guests kept giving us compliments about how incredible the food was. "This is the best wedding food I've ever had" was said multiple times. I also noticed that they gave out generous plates, which I really appreciated. As a guest, it's the worst feeling when you can't take as much food as you'd like because you feel there might not be enough for everyone. Everyone was stuffed and had their fill, which I was very happy to see! The menu was just perfect. James really nailed it! He paid such close attention to all the details and created a menu that perfectly suited us. I can't tell you what a relief it was to be able to trust James and Duos with this and not have to worry about whether it was going to be executed well or not. The grey linens they found for the tables were perfect, and the tables as a whole looked beautiful (we put them in charge of handling all the linens, plates, silverware, glassware etc.) The wine was great, the beer was great. Really, I wouldn't change a thing. To give a little idea of what our menu looked like (this was all served family style): Appetizers: -Cheese beignets -Duck breast crostini Dinner: -Potato rolls and butter -Strawberry salad with feta -Roast herb chicken -Beef bourguignon -Gnocchi ratatouille -Pasta gusto -Haricot vert with scallion vinaigrette Dessert: -Raspberry hazelnut tiramisu A few more things regarding James particularly: He were always prompt in his email responses, very informative, and very professional. I appreciate that with each change I made, he updated the prices accordingly. I also appreciate that he put in the work to find the right company for the rentals and linens etc. and kept me updated throughout that whole process. He never made me feel like I was being a bother (even with all my changes and questions!), and he were excited with us which made it even MORE fun. James is so darn good at what he does! If you're getting married soon or need someone to cater your event, I would highly recommend Duos.

We were at a Google Local Guides event and Duos was the caterer. We liked everything except for the Mac n cheese. It didn't have a lot of flavor. Excellent servers! The bar was awesome. The Kumamoto oysters were fresh and amazing! Keep up the good work Duos catering!

The staff at Duos is fantastic! We had an amazing time tasting food with them on crazy schedules, and the food on the day of was fantastic! Melissa was our day-of-coordinator, and my husband agrees that it was the best money spent on the whole day. She helped make everything so smooth and seamless, we never noticed if anything was amiss. The waitstaff they hired for our wedding was the happiest and friendliest staff we had seen at any wedding. They were lightning quick - if a glass was empty or the plate was dirty, it was filled or taken away immediately. Duos made everything so easy and we changed our menu and numbers so many times and it was "not a problem". They are fantastic and if we need more catering done, we will definitely choose Duos again.
