Worked with Tyler to purchase a 7x18 car hauler trailer to use to rental, he answered all the questions and was very communicative. Trailer has been great! I receive so many compliments on build and quality of work; and I agree. The frame is strong and it pulls smoothly. Just placed a deposit for a second trailer!
I have been looking for a 5x10 trailer for a while to hall stuff for smaller projects around the house and pick up things from the big box stores. I stumbled upon their website while I was looking. Since they are local, I drove across town and see what they have. Tyler was absolutely great to work with. He answered my questions and made recommendations. I ended up picking up my trailer and so far, I am happy with the quality. I highly recommend them.
Tyler was great to work with. He even went out of his way to deliver the trailer. I was very happy with the trailer and the customer service we received.
I bought the 7'x12' in 2022 from Eagle trailer. Very well built trailer!, and at a great price. Turns out I had some battery issues right off the bat. It was a new battery, but a lemon. I put in a new one, and everything works great now. I contacted the company about it, and they were quick to re-imburse me, no questions asked. Would recommend them again.
Figure something else out. We needed a custom trailer due to storage limitations and our experience with the company was one of the worst we have had with a company in a long time. Just trying to get information for how it would be built was like pulling teeth and several times our emails were never even responded to. That should have been the first sign. We live 3 hours away and this was the closest option we had for what we needed. Apparently we should have gone further. 8 times during our time working with them we were told that we would be called back within 15 minutes, an hour, or by the end of the day, and never received a call. We were told that the trailer would take 2 weeks to build, 3 weeks max, and when we called the day before we were to pick it up 3 weeks after putting a down payment down we were informed that it was still in the cut shop and hadn't even been built. We were told it would be ready days later and once again was not. We ended up picking it up a week and a half after the date we were told. The trailer itself has issues of its own. We got the trailer home and found out the stake pockets are much larger than the dimensions of a 2x4 so wood sides cannot be easily be built on the bed. Because we purchased a deck-over trailer, there is a metal plate above each of the wheels, the underside of which is already rusting on both. And to top it all off, the paint job is garbage. All over the trailer there are materials inside of the paint that cannot be removed, including dirt from shoe prints that walked on it while the paint was still wet as seen in the pictures. The paint job looks like a quickly slapped together product when we were expecting otherwise. The weight of the trailer we purchased was approximately 700 pounds. Normally 10-15% of the weight of the trailer should be seen on the tongue of the tow vehicle. On ours, 23% of the weight of the trailer sits on the tongue. Poorly engineered. If you are on the fence, do something else unless you want a terrible experience with a less than quality product. The only reason why I put 1 star is that the trailer frame itself seems to be sturdy but will now be more difficult to use as a utility trailer than we were expecting. Who knows how long the welds will last looking at other customer reviews of this company. If you want pictures of what we received or want more information so you can make a decision, feel free to contact me at [email protected]. Just don't do it. I wish I would have seen Eric V's review before purchasing but unfortunately I purchased before it was posted.
Update After my initial review I received a cal from Rick and he said that they would like to build a new trailer to replace my current trailer. I do not know how long this will take, however kudos on the response and solution. Terrible customer service. I purchased a trailer in November of 2020 from Freeway Trailer in Tacoma, WA. I use the trailer to haul a UTV and I was assured the trailer was strong enough to based on the weight of the UTV. March 17th I noticed cracks on the frame and some welds at the back of the trailer. I contacted the place of purchase and they were quick to respond saying they need to contact Eagle Trailer in Portland OR to determine the next steps for warranty. To date I nor Freeway Trailer have heard back from these guys. Rick check you emails and learn some customer service.
Just picked up my 7x12 dump trailer, I am so impressed. It is incredibly stout. I have used other brands in the past, there is no comparison. Excellent warranty & service. Only 2 weeks, built tospec
Very poor communication. I spent $12k on a trailer and when I received it, it was missing the spare tire and the paperwork and stickers necessary for the DMV. Such a headache working with this company. Trailer was built well though, but working with the company was so unpleasant.
Picked up a very nice Eagle trailer today. 7x18 tilt top. All aspects of the trailer; paint, welds and design, look great. The trailer pulled very nicely on the 100+ mile drive home. Thank you Rick, and crew, for your excellent customer service.
I bought my second trailer from Eagle last year in January of 2022. I made the purchase based on the quality of my 2014 trailer. But my new 20’ tilt deck broke the u-bolt that holds the tilt deck down In August of 2022, I was told this was a freak accident and was assured it wouldn’t happen again and was charged 140.00 for the repair the trailer was empty when it broke. Fast forward to February 2023 I was on the road in San Antonio and the u-bolt broke again while I was on the freeway in traffic. I found a fabrication shop that welded the deck in the down position and paid them 125.00 to do so. I made it back home and visited Eagle today to share my experience. I was told by Rick that something has changed in these u-bolts and they have had several in the last few months break. Then offered to make the needed changes to my trailer at yet an additional cost to me. I will make the repairs myself. I bought my Eagle trailer from a local company to try and keep my money in my local economy. The next time I need a new trailer I will purchase from a company that will stand behind their product better. I am an automotive hobbyist and don’t use my trailer except maybe 2 times a month. Really disappointed, I gave them the chance to rectify the situation and they want more of my money. Update 5/23 Last week Tyler reached out to me. He was trying to help resolve my issues, this was great I thought. He offered to move the spare tires forward, replace latch mechanism with style of my choice, touch up the paint and replace all the tires. I replied with I will be there next week. That was today one week later, Tyler was on vacation and I spoke with Rick again. Apparently he thought moving the spares forward was a bad idea, my trailer couldn’t be retrofitted with the style of latch I wanted but he did offer an upgraded larger version of the one that broke twice but didn’t have in stock. He is supposed to contact when it’s available for me to look at. He did give me 2 new spare tires. I really wish Tyler would have left a note as to what we discussed because I left again not 100 percent pleased. I will say this Eagle trailer is trying to rectify the situation and I will update after I see new latch but definitely not all we discussed last week were addressed I would have thought them knowing I was coming would have a plan in place. I do totally appreciate Tyler reaching out. So I will add 1 star to the review for now.
