Earth Origins Market

Great spot for organic, healthy prepaired, hot or cold food and an entire grocery selection, a good size bulk section, beneficial beverages as well as craft alcohol. They also carry a wide variety of supplements and body care products. I love coming here and getting a quick bite to eat or to grocery shop. The staff is very helpful if you need help finding something specific.

I'm not sure why this place went so far downhill but it is certainly not the place it used to be. I started shopping here in 2008 and I've watched the overall quality of the place slip to the disappointing level it is currently at. It used to be a friendly, busy, local place with employees who were happy, engaging, and helpful. Now it's kind of cold and dry - employees aren't as outgoing, don't seem to really know anything about their store, and have - on multiple occasions - completely ignored me at the register while having a conversation with another employee behind me who is doing the same thing to their customer. Hot/salad bar quality is lacking - items just don't seem fresh anymore. Same with the deli case. The smoothie/juice bar is downright filthy - employees standing around talking between customers instead of cleaning. Actually watched an employee wearing gloves to clean attempt to prepare my smoothie with the same gloves. Grocery items - boxed/frozen/supplements - are still good quality but the overall condition of the store is keeping me away. It's just become run-down, dingy, and just doesn't have any good vibes at all anymore. I've begun driving an extra 20 minutes each way to go to Rollin Oats instead. Earth Origins really did used to be a great store, it's a shame that it's come to this.

I was living in St. Pete 15 years ago and was always shopping at Earth Origins Market which I believe at that time had a different name. I was always very pleased with their products and the staff was always very pleasant. I moved back to St. Pete a couple of months ago and was amazed to see what happened to this place. A lot of their produce looks old, the prices are very high, the hot food on the food bar looks just really bad and dried out and if they run out a product it takes weeks to see it on the shelf again. Not to mention the rude employees. Time after time unfriendly faces. Nobody likes to be bothered with questions. The bulk manager (at least that is what she called her self) treated me today like I was a little kid who needed reprimanding. So unprofessional! I wish there was another health food market in St. Pete Beach. I would never go back to this place. I cannot wait for Lucky's to open soon. Had a great experience with them in Orlando.

Worst experience. I tried going back on 3 perpetrate occasions and the service never gets any better. The employees are rude and for the most part incompetent. I walked up to the counter to get deli products and 2 different employees past by me and never asked if I needed help. I had to flag someone down to get service and they. Then he rushed me. This happened on my 2nd trip as well. I again went to the deli counter and have to wait over 10 minuets for anyone to acknowledge me. There was another customer who was waiting as well and got fed up and left. I am a local and would love to support my local business but not with service like this. The salad bar is always empty and dirty at 5pm. The check out counter women ran up an item that was clearly marked with a price. I noticed on the screen that it came back higher and she said she did not know how to fix that. Yes it was only a 53 cent different but she need to know how to correct an error that is over charging a customer. The employees need better training for proper customer service.

Great market! Not sure why people rate one star and leave really long bitchy reviews. I go here for groceries not for an education.
