The station is a clean and convenient stop for the South Shore commuter train system. It is our usual form of transportation to downtown Chicago for shopping, museum visits, dining or just enjoying one of the many other cultural events. Convenient and normally running on schedule.

I've been using the South Shore in E.C. almost daily for over a year now and I I gotta say, it's pretty great. Sometimes there are delays (which suck), but it's not too bad. There's free wifi on the train as well, but that's also sometimes kinda limited.

I did not notice that I took a 1-ride ticket instead of the 25-ride ticket that I purchased from the vending machines. A very kind passenger handed the missing $140 ticket to a conductor and it came back to me via NICTD staff. If they read this, thank you!

Free parking is great. It's difficult to get out of the lot at rush hour. Trains break down frequently and are dirty. It's better than driving into Chicago, though.

I love the South shore line. They could improve on there communication when trouble hits, but so could Illinois trains.
