East Village Meat Market

I used walk by this butcher shop almost everyday, and thought what a unique 'old school' vibe this shop has. A great character for the neighborhood. I painted a portrait of this shop which you can see on my website, kovalfineart dot com.

Amazing selection. Everyone is so nice and helpful. Being from a Ukrainian family this place, these people and this food feels very familiar and staves off the occasional homesickness. 10/10 would recommend.

Such a great meat market. We went on a Saturday and they had an entire table of blintzes, amd a separate table of prepared foods. We loved the prepared mini dumplings and onions, breaded chicken, the cherry, chocolate and peach blintzes were excellent. We will definitely be back!

Great market!! I found here delicious pastries as banks, rye bread and also angel wings. They sell my favorite bubble chocolate. Service is great. Prices are fine. They also sell at lot of types of pierogies, and of course different kind of meat.

I come here regularly for the cold cuts. Always good quality and a good selection of items I cannot find elsewhere in the East Village.
