Eastgate Dental Centre

I came back here after a horrible experience at a different dental office. Dr. Tonogai is really personable and thorough. The dental hygienists are friendly and efficient, from what I've seen so far, and their hours are very flexible, especially if you work Monday-Friday and need appointments in the evenings and on weekends. I've had a general new patient exam, cleanings, and am about to be fitted for a night guard. They also referred me to an oral surgeon to have my wisdom teeth removed and I have never had any issues. My insurance always receives invoices and quotes from them very quickly, and although pretty much all of my work has been covered, I've never had an issue with their billing or receptionists (who have been professional and friendly).

Over the weekend my boyfriend was experiencing some really bad tooth pain. Right away he thought, who could I call...who would be open on a Sunday? Little did he know, Eastgate Dental Centre is opened on Sundays. We called the office and spoke with a very friendly & helpful receptionist and she got My boyfriend in right away. He saw Dr. Ke Shang and she was great. Both her and her assistant were extremely knowledgeable and kind. My boyfriend walked out of there very happy and very thankful to be seen that day. Thank you Eastgate Dental Centre for your convenient hours and for being such kind and caring people.

I had an emergency and my regular dentist was not open. I decided to call Eastgate Dental as they are open on Sunday. The receptionist was wonderful and got me an appointment within half an hour of calling! Dr. Shang was pleasant, explained the problem clearly and treated it. They gave me all the information I needed so my regular dentist can follow up. I would highly recommend them if you don’t have a dentist or if you have an after hours emergency!

I am 63 years old and had not been to a dentist in 50 years due to a very bad experience. I endured an infected tooth for over a week before finally going to see Dr. Gelman. This man was so pleasant, gentle and non-judgmental. I will definitely recommend this clinic to all. Thank you. ☺

No patience w/ mothers and children. Any individuals w/ small children, save your time and go to a different location. The only pediatric dentist Dr. Azita hands shake when attending patients, it does not feel comforting or effective when seeing this. When my 2 year old daughter was not cooperative for an xray, I received a referal for a location on winterberry drive, while explaining that I need a new referal for a different location on upper wentworth, the receptionist cut me off loudly saying “well thats your problem” I have my own car thank you very much, however it saves time to go to a closer location. Also they said they would call and send a referal to the new location, I called and they did not contact them at all. I had to explain the unprofessionalism and rudeness of the receptionist to the new location when resgistering. Please learn to slow down and have patience w/ each client. I am a empathetic person who is appalled that anyone would receive this type of service.
