I recently bought an Itravl2 translator which, out of the box didn't work. It would only translate English, not Spanish. They had me erase offline translation and reinstall it. It now worked. I flew to mexico for business and it did not work off-line!!! I couldn't reach ectaco. After I returned to the USA I contacted them and they said they'd send a new unit. I marked my unit with 2 dots of magic marker. Received my new unit with the same marks. Called and confronted them and at first they said it was brand new. After I told them of my markings they said that they put a new program on it. Out of the box again, it did not work. It said that speech recognition was having difficulties. The guy on the phone told me to try it for a few days and that he has very satisfied customers. I will never buy from or refer anyone to these crooks! Take a peak at the better business bureau rating before you buy.

I got the latest LUX 4 PRO and I am ecstatic, Not only is the design unique, but it also works perfectly! you don't even need internet for translating languages I bought these for my students and they are very pleased with this product! I am really happy that I chose Ectaco. I recommend this company and their products.

The iTravl 2 was so worth the money. You don't need internet, which makes it perfect for inter-language communication. I always kept it handy during my trip to Brazil. It's waterproof, and it has dual micro SIM cards, so one could use foreign sim cards. The screen resolution is nice as well. Overall, it's a wonderful product and I would recommend it to anyone who travels frequently. I called ECTACO with questions about my device and they were helpful, kind, and guided me through the process, which is why I recommend that one purchase it from Ectaco.

We ordered the Russian English translation machine it was impossible to figure how to use it , the instruction that comes with it is in English but makes no sense must be written by someone who has not clue about the English language the screen is made for 20 year old kids with 20/20 vision not for adults: we sent it back they said it take 2 weeks to get a refund , You don't want to do business with Ectaco . trust me they are bad news Dario

My mother-in-law ordered a Russian-English dictionary on the phone with them. They promised her that she would have 7 days to return. When she called after 3 days, they refused to accept the product for refund. Shame on them for cheating on venerable old people!

The device I got, partner lux 2, has some issues, it turn off by itself, and the screen was not responding few times, I am trying to return the device, it is hard to get in touch , it looks for me like they are playing games, but this is nothing, so I called ectaco located in NY, the gentleman spoke foreign language with me my home language and when I told him that I would like to send it back due to technician issue, he responded to me like:" maybe you dont know how to use it" I responded "I am sorry but I am an IT guy, and I can I know how to use it , and I can tell it is either the software or hardware issue, most likely hardware" he responded " u dont know how to use it, u dont know anything, if you are so smart to return it go ahead and return it, dont buy stuff if you dont know how to use it" I was like WOWWW, I have NEVER EVER hear anything like that !!!! !!! that changed my opinion about this company forever !!,

The worst company ever ! do not buy anything from them! bought one of their items broke right after the warranty expired. Bought another one and they SOLD ME A BROKE ONE ! AND TOLD ME I CAN NOT GET A REFUND OR EXCHANGE IT I HAVE TO PAY FOR IT AGAIN!

the worst customer service ever. do not buy anything from them. they do not want to work with their clients and refuse to help with any issue. SAVE YOUR MONEY PEOPLE!
