What differentiates Edelman Financial Services from average investment services can be summed-up in one word: Fiduciary. Unlike many investment services whose advisors put their own interests in earning high commissions and fees over their clients' interest in obtaining the best investment at the lowest cost, Edelman Financial Services have always acted as a client fiduciary. Prior to the investor-protection legislation established in 2016 (Department of Labor's fiduciary rule), my mother lost approximately $70K over 13 years with a less-than-scrupulous investment advisor before transferring her retirement assets to Edelman. I did the same in 2012 and both of us have done very well as a result - through several years of relatively flat economic growth as well as the past 2 years of exceptionally good growth. I cannot say enough about Lisa Eitzel (as well as Betty O'Lear before her retirement) and the advice and outstanding customer service she has provided us. I would not hesitate to recommend Edelman Financial Services to anyone who is looking at retirement investment and would specifically recommend Lisa Eitzel as a financial advisor.
