Edward Jones - Financial Advisor: Noah A Lester

Noah has been our financial advisor since 2008. He is friendly, prompt, and responsive. He has always taken the time to explain where we are on our path to retirement and what we need to do financially to get there. He does a yearly review to assess any new changes in our finances, like new jobs, new babies, and new houses. He has helped us set up our children's college funds, Roth IRAs, Traditional IRAs, and move money from employer retirement funds as needed. He looks at our holdings and discusses the merits of one fund over another. He is very knowledgable in all aspects of the financial world, and we trust him to help us build our retirement fund. We continue to recommend him to others.

I used to have Noah, then Andrew. Andrew took us to breakfast and explained he had a much better offer at Wells Fargo and was moving and would like us to go with him. He had been very helpful, explains the confusing world of finances in terms lay persons can understand and took calls and emails at all hours. So we decided to move with him. It took Brad Booth and Edward Jones almost TWO years to get some of the accounts transferred, but that isn't my main issue. What really upset me was Brad constantly calling to keep our account even after we said NO. Brad then went on to say "Andrew left under a cloud of suspicion" and "there was talk about his dealings." Plus he went on to say he was a lifer Marine and it would be in our best interest to stay. Well, 1) I don't know of any Financial Officers in the Marines 2) I've never heard another Marine denigrate and besmirch another Marines reputation 3) I've never been so pressured by a Financial Advisor All in all, I would avoid someone ESPECIALLY a Financial Advisor who try's to cast a FELLOW MARINES reputation in doubt.
