Love Love this place! My aunt is a member. The food is cracking, the service is great and the ambience I love! I love being and eating off the water. Every time we go they always take great care of us. The drinks are dangerously good! Exactly the right amount of alcohol and mix!! I wish I could give more stars than five. Can’t wait for the Christmas party next month!
Wait staff is great, food is delicious- good sized portions for the right price. Great atmosphere, old school nostalgia, not overcrowded, a family favorite for over 20 years.
My kind of boat club, friendly people great restaurant and a beautiful view . . .
THIS DOES NOT EXIST ANYMORE. DTE sold the property to Chrysler and they demolished the building and closed the property.
Just went to sit at the water. It was a wonderful experience. It is amazing how the effects of global warming has allowed thr water to reach over the cement platform and cover your entire foot. When boats ride pass, it reaches to my knees!! Feels good but wow!!
Closed now but was my favorite marina to paddle through on the river
My experience was only great and beautiful because my family was getting married! Congratulations Brit and Ken! The property was beautiful and clean. Indoors and out. It was even a play area for the children. However my experience with the head host of the establishment for this event was very rude and inconsiderate. Her staff walked around with untucked shirts and was not courteous with their manners. When it was time for dinner after several announcements of closing the bar or dinner they continued to serve liquor. However during dinner was being passed the head host denied us water???? Since when was water and soda was included within spirits? After several attempts she eventually served us water with attitude. If I could've had changed anything I would have changed the service and the presentation of the servers that was provided. However because my family did not know that this occurence. I'm overall happy about their wedding nuptials. The service that was provided by the business and staff gets a thumbs down.
The Edison Boat Club is a right smart place to visit. It was built just a little over a hundred years ago. It was formed by employees of DTE at the time. Members of the club are still made up of DTE Employees. The grounds are somewhat small but big enough to store a small flotilla of craft. Each year there is a round of parties and events that take place at the location as well other parties and honorariums that take place there. The restaurant and lounge is very nice. It is set up in the style of the 1920’s and is maintained beautifully. There is no swimming at this location. The current is very strong. The water is fairly deep too starting at about 20 feet just off the jetty and descending down into the depths of the swiftly moving Detroit River. You can see Belle Isle and Canada as well across the water. The surrounding area has private homes and the shell of a gigantic powerplant that is slowly being dismantled.
Nice place to go eat off the water. No baby drinks here! Love this place it's secluded and the view is beautiful.
Great local Good Food and very pleasant staff, I go as often as I can, very family friendly.
