Educare

This is one of my all-time favorite spots to take my son. I've been going here since I was a little kid and it's wonderful to get to take my son here too. They do storytime on Wednesday's and Saturday's at 10:30AM all year long. I prefer the Saturday storytimes because the staff is more inclusive and friendly on Saturday's. The staff reads 3-5 books and then they play some music so the kids can dance and get some wiggles out. Storytime ends with a fun craft that is usually themed with the books that were read or the holiday that is current. Storytime takes about a half-hour from start to finish. At Christmas they did ginger bread houses for the craft and had a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Clause. At Easter they had a visit from the Easter Bunny and an Easter egg hunt. They do a really good job of celebrating the holidays. On Small Business Saturday (the day after Black Friday) they had a drawing going on throughout the day for the kids to win educational prizes. My son won a prize that day. They also have a newsletter you can sign-up for and a birthday club for kids. They have great educational supplies for home and for teachers. They have a good selection of teacher supplies and lots of educational games. You can even rent their games for a very low fee and try them out for a family night or birthday party. They have handmade chocolates. I even took a make your own chocolate class back in 2007. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable

Was at Educare again this week. Been going for 10 years now. They have lots of items in the store area. Excellent especially the store....
