This place was amazing. Our server, Penn, was fantastic. They offered a delicious happy hour bubbly cocktail, oysters, small bites to include the best warmed cheese I've ever had. Penn offered to take our photo and even recommended some other local places to check out. Since our visit, we have already been trying to find time to go back before our trip ends for more excellent service, cocktails and food.
Great little place for a champaigne brunch. Or dinner. Huge selection of champaigne. Very nice mixed drinks also. Brunch menu is limited but was excellent. Other days/ nights they offer small plates that are a great accompaniment to the drinks. Cool back outdoor patio. Love the atmosphere.Food: 5/5
Absolutely amazing service, quality, and atmosphere. I'm usually very wordy in my reviews but it's not remotely necessary in this case. Reserve brunch. Have the caviar chips. Trust the drink suggestions. Take some seasoned popcorn home!
Such a great experience with wonderful cocktails! Great bubbly options, and they also had a bar with all the liquors. The service was exemplary!! Everyone was so incredibly kind and wonderful!
Rating this one is tough. The cocktails were fantastic. The champagne flight was great. The food was very tasty and made good use of fresh herbs. One of our group had an unusual food allergy and the waitress bailed. It took another ten minutes to flag down a server and finally place a food order. If you have a food allergy, stick with the bubbles.
Unique champagne bar with a deep bench of amazing champagnes and supporting small bites. Stunningly designed bar and dining room. Professional and friendly waitstaff.Food: 5/5
This was a delightful treat on my brief stop in New Orleans. I enjoyed my prosecco pop and crab claws in a seat close to the front. The service was friendly and fast. I only wish I had a chance to try the brunch. A must stop away from the hustle of Bourbon Street
I am not a champagne connoisseur. This restaurant was perfect for introducing me to different types of sparkling wines from different regions. The tasting flights are great. The small plates were fresh and delicious. Everything went well with the drinks. I felt it was all fairly priced. If you are looking for a unique dining experience in New Orleans, this place is definitely worth checking out.
After a long weekend in New Orleans my first time there, my wife and I decided to try Effervescence for our last meal before heading to the airport. We were absolutely blown away by the place, it was perfect from beginning to end! The restaurant is stunningly beautiful and the owner greeted us with such warm hospitality. The bar program is truly top notch, which is hard to say in a big drinking city like NOLA, but we were left slackjawed by the quality of the food! The owner explained that the kitchen is run by a couple who have cut their teeth in Michelin-starred restaurants out west and abroad, and their experience really shines through, along with their creativity. My wife and I are huge seafood fans and have spent way too much money on meals in NYC and other major cities, and we consider the food here second-to-none! Each dish was so deliberately composed with depths of flavors that would open up with each bite. In our seafood plateau, there wasn't a single dish or element that wasn't thoughtfully put together and my wife and I were left unable to figure out which dish we enjoyed the most! But holy cow, the fried softshell crab and avocado lettuce wrap made my eyes roll backward, as it was easily the best fried softshell crab I've ever eaten! During our first experience at Effervescence, I cannot find a single thing to fault as the execution of the staff, bar and kitchen was perfect. I mean perfect. The warmth of Crystal and Evan one of the two chefs in the back has left me with the most charmed memories of our experience and we can't wait to come back to New Orleans for another go! Crystal, if you're reading this, PLEASE keep up the amazing work and I'll see you once you get your James Beard Award or your first Michelin star, whichever comes first! :D
this was hands down the best discovery of my time in New Orleans. every single glass of sparkling i had tasted like the first from a bottle. and the fact that i could get half glasses meant i could try twice as many including three BRITISH bruts that were absolutely amazing. the glassware was beautiful, the decor perfect, staff friendly and knowledgeable, and the food was great. i had a crab and satsuma salad with ravigotte and a local sourdough type bread their description for a naïve traveler with some excellent butter. i had to go twice to make sure i didn't miss a single glass i wanted to try this is a must try for any visit, and if you're a local you're wasting precious time reading this
