1st time there today. A young gentleman helped me and my wife with the hot food bar. food is amazing. Best tamale I've ever had. Silky smooth. Ox Tail was phenomenal. Stewed chicken brought back good memories.
Definitely one of my favorite “fast food” Dominican with a little bit of everything spot! Their picadera is one of my go to, but their ready food is tasty too. They always have a couple of different rices, few different meats and sides, natural drinks even desert. I do feel that the customer service needs some work.
THIS place is the most authentic Dominican food you will find in the Charlotte area, hands down. I spoke with the woman straight from DR who does the stewed meats, and gave her my praises for the goat meat. There are other places, but this one is worth the drive. Never disappointed.
This restaurant serves amazing Dominican Food. I consider this to be peasant food which is a high compliment as it seams like I had visited someone’s home for this meal. The staff are friendly and helpful to suggest and explain what they have prepared for the day or you may order from the menu. There is seating inside or you may take the food to go. I will definitely be returning here and am looking forward to trying other items!
Fresh every time. Everyone in the family loves their food. Authentic flavor taste like home cooking. Good sized portions. Not overpriced.
I been ordering online they never give salad or veggies with my order. Today I order 2 stew chicken and 1 oxtail, I only got 1 stew chicken and 1 oxtail. I showed the delivery driver that I was messing a order she start to call them. They never gave my other order didn't call or nothing. That was my last time ordering. Period
Wow, very tasty and fresh Dominican food. Connected to the supermarket. Hopefully this means they always will have the meal you want in stock. Fast and kind service. I will definitely return for more. Features: Social distance markers on the ground, and staff have on masks.
Awful experience ewww, I was there today. I order food and this old Man said he’s gonna charge me Extra for my food and I ask him why because I didn’t take extra so why would you charge me extra? and he said because the Oxtails are medium sizes so he’s gonna charge me extra. I thought this man was joking but in reality he’s not. So I told him I can’t pay extra that for those oxtails that comes with regular food and he took the oxtails and put them back in the pan where he served them from. That’s disgusting Man. He could have at least trash the food but he didn’t but rather return them to the mist of other food.. dirty and disgusting thing to do. sometimes the staffs serve food With barehands with rings on them. Rings are germs carrier... that’s the man on the pics I attached
When my boyfriend and I came in to the restaurant no one greeted us. We had to walk up to the bar and ask where we should sit. When you walk in there is a sign that says wait to be seated but everyone was walking around and never said anything to us. I ordered one of their appetizers ‘Papa de relleno’ it was so hard like it had been over cooked. They only put a spoonful of beef in it. There are pictures in the reviews of it and that’s exactly how they look. They aren’t supposed to be that hard and then it was barely any meat in it and they served it with tomato soup. I was confused. I eat Puerto Rican food often and I wasn’t pleased with this place at all. I was driving through the city and decided to stop but i don’t think i will stop here again. The only thing that wasn’t overcooked or too salty was my green beans.
I like the food here. It is very authentic Dominican food served cafeteria style. They have all the expected staples, the price is right, and the portions are large. It's our second time here and this particular server was super rude and made angry faces. She made it a point to keep responding to me in broken English, even though I kept speaking to her in Spanish repeatedly. So this was not an enjoyable exchange. Note that my experience the first time I visited was completely different, servers were very courteous and accommodating. I am giving this review a 5 star despite the bad experience today because of the authenticity, variety, portion sizes, and cost.
