El'Gant Alterations

Upon dropping off items, owner proceeded to touch my hair without asking and then asked whether it was real. Needless to say, I did not leave my items with this business to be altered. Also, to simply hem pants I was quoted $45. For that area, that is overpriced.

Discrimination.. Went to pick up alterations suit jacket after being there for a week wasn’t done. Don’t get a phone call stating that the alterations would not be done on the date they promised. I guess they thought I wasn’t going to come back or pay for my Alterations I was just satisfied

Great work and decent price. They typically can turn around items under two weeks. $85 for a hem on evening gowns.

Thy Du did a great job altering a custom gown I had ordered. The dress has a lot of beading and crystals plus lace, not an easy alteration. It was way too big with an obnoxiously long train. Took her just over a week to complete the alterations. I went from being disappointed to excited about my dress! Thank you Thy! I'll be back with more garments I need fixed!

I'm not related to them but the people here are great! I dropped off my 2 pants on Friday and they were able to alter & get back by the next day. Friendly service and quality is good too! I will return.

I’ve had two back to back horrible experiences at El-Gant Alterations. I rarely ever leave reviews, but this last time was the straw that broke the camel’s back and I want to make sure others are cautioned. Twice in a row, they have told me my alterations would be ready on a certain day by a certain time. [Both times, they’ve had over a week for the alterations.] Both times, the alterations were not ready when I went to pick them up. This last time, a gentlemen was in the store experiencing the exact same frustrations that I was - in fact, they couldn’t even locate his suit. This is extremely frustrating when you have to wear that dress THAT night for a wedding. Take your money elsewhere in Midtown/Morningside! Drive up to Buckhead Alterations instead.

Never had a problem with these lovely people. Someone had a problem with alterations not being ready. Don't wait to the day of your event to get your garments. Easy as that.
