El Tenampa Mexican Restaurant

This place is a local gem for Authentic Mexican fare. You would almost miss it as it does not look like much from the road and parking is horrible as they are very busy. Not much room to wait for a table either, HOWEVER, the atmosphere is wonderful, and the food is great. Best to go on the weekends for dinner as they usually have a live Mariachi band. Great food, Authentic Mexican. May take a while to get a seat as they are popular and not that big of a reasturant. Many locals go here. Live Mariachis when we where there. This is the place your looking for.

First time at a real Mexican restaurant. This place was delicious. Interior has cool decor.great customer service . Large portions. Great prices. I love this place.

Speaking as a Hispanic Texan, this small restaurant serves AUTHENTIC Mexican and Texmex. Good prices and excellent food. Looks like a hole-in-the-wall place but only goes to prove you can't judge a book by it's cover! Don't pass this one up if you're in the area!

The hostesses were very hospitable; however, our waitress was not! We had to request things 2 or 3 times before we received them. We had to wait 15-20 minutes for drink refills. They have the best queso and salsa dip we've ever had and their mango juice was awesome as well. I did not like the burrito I ordered but the fajitas were awesome! I probably we not go back because of the service though!

A friend told me about this little gem. Everything was so authentic from the Mexican style drinks ladled out of big plastic barrels to the mariachi band. It looks like nothing from the outside, in fact we almost left because it was a little sketchy in the parking lot but you open the door and it’s like walking into a tiny Mexico.
