San Jose's Original Mexican Restaurant

Very nice place. Good atmosphere, good background Mexican music. Looks clean. Bathrooms are clean. Food has good seasoning. Tasted very good, my husband and I ate the whole thing up. Waitresses are friendly and helpful the service is timed very good. They seem to have a good staff team working the floor, gives the place a good flow. I noticed they clean tables right after customer leaves and the restaurant always looks nice and neat. I think is a nice place to go have a Mexican lunch at lunch at or dinner. They had Margaritas 2 for $7 they were really good. Price was reasonable for 2 with margaritas and 2 plates and appetizers. About $50. Oh I had to mention there was no wait when I went there. Was a good experience.

Very good authentic Mexican food restaurant!! Great flavors, good service! Recommend the top shelf margarita and the San Jose signature burrito. The burrito is so big I could only eat a little more than 1/3. Will be back again!

We had a family gathering here. There were six of us. The service was excellent. The menu had so many things it was hard to decide. I settled on a California burrito. It was bigger and better than I expected. The atmosphere was cozy and festive. It was an excellent choice for our little get together. I highly recommend it.

This is one of the local favorites of my family members who live in this area. They love the atmosphere and the people. Most of the time the staff and servers are extremely friendly and quick to help. The food is decent, the rice is very bland, but is ultimately good food for a good price. If you are looking for a casual Mexican dining experience for a decent price, this is the place to go. The margaritas are good and you should definitely ask about The happy hour they have on their regular house margarita. Last time we were there it was two for $6.50. I think they might have raised the price since then, but still a great deal in my opinion. I find that if you sit in the bar area (when you walk in on the left) you can have a quieter dinner, whereas if you are seated on the right, it is a little bit brighter and more kid friendly. During our last visit the staff was a little bit shorthanded and they had trouble getting to us at the beginning, but the host got us a waitress that was very attentive and took care of us. Great restaurant for a quick, good meal and cheap drinks!

We really love this place. They have some great lunch specials. I recommend the nachos as they can be a meal in themselves that will feed 2. The burritos and chimichangas are excellent. The tacos are some of the best in the area. On weekends they have live music. The Mariachis go from table to table and play for you. For holidays they do specials and get very crowded. This place is tucked away in a strip mall and is not easy to spot but they are worth finding.
