This place doesn't really look like a restaurant from the outside cuz it's also a carneciria and panaderia as well. The restaurant side is pretty small. I ordered the Ranchero Especial which is similar to a dish a get at another Mexican place I like. The dish was pretty good but I wish they included a bit of steak strips in it. Now for the problems. I asked for a diet Coke and they brought me a bottle that was about 5 months out of date. I've had expired diet sodas before and they're nasty so I asked to swap it for a diet Dr. Pepper. I couldn't read the date on it so I tried it and sure enough, no fizz and nasty. This place really needs to start rotating their drink stock. I went to pay the bill after eating and she said the total was $14 and change. I thought that was high and asked how much the meal was they didn't charge me for the drinks. She said it was $12.99 plus tax. So I paid and left. But before getting into my car I thought something was off. I went back in and asked to see the menu. Sure enough, the menu price for that dish was $9.89. I pointed this out to her and all she said was the menus were old and the prices have changed. I told her they need to get new menus asap and left. Now I fully understand that pretty much all restaurants have increased prices and I also understand it's not cheap to reprint menus. But they should've at least used a sharpie and corrected the prices on the menu, like I've seen many restaurants do. And it's not like its a buck or 2. A $3.10 difference, with no warning before you order, is completely unacceptable and deceptive. Not to mention that the dish wasn't worth $13 due to the small portion size. So my advice for folks wanting to dine here is first, don't order sodas, and secondly, ask what the current prices are for your chosen dish.
I couldn't see inside the shop due to the window decor but I decided to take a peak after shopping next door at the Asian grocery store. The smell of fresh bread definitely attracted me! The store is much bigger than the outside. First, there are baked goods here. Fresh bread and pastries that are made here in-house! Very inexpensive too! If you want to treat your coworkers to donuts but want something both affordable and unique then this is the place! I stocked up on some produce and, when I was checking out, the man warned me that the peppers were not the same as those at Walmart. These were hotter, he said. That's fine, I don't shop at Walmart and I don't want the mild peppers so these suited me just fine. I would argue that the produce was a higher quality than a big box store but I know very specifically want I'm searching for. It appears they make takeout easy so I'd highly recommend shopping here for some groceries and grabbing some authentic Mexican food, or pastries. I'll be back for sure!
A little slow, food is good and larger portions. Not a bad place to stop, plus they have a store with products that are hard to find in the south. Reminds me of my home state. Stop by and grab a tub for their menudo because, damn this is a lot.Food: 3/5
This place is great, go check it out ASAP! The restaurant is excellent. The employees and servers are friendly. The grocery store is well stocked and fresh. Can't wait to go back. Thank you!Food: 5/5
Small restaurant with a convenient store attached, which has desserts and a butcher station. The service was great and the food was more flavorful that some other Mexican places in town. I recommend the chorizo or al pastor tacos. I've had the tortas before and they were really good too. Prices are very reasonable for the amount of food. Will keep going back when on that side of town.
Right down from my work and the first place I've seen carrying the Gansito chocolate milk. I've never actually ate at their restaurant but the little store is great and I love stopping in here for quick snacks. The employees are always really nice too.Food: 5/5
Best street tacos in Little Rock. The tacos are phenomenal and so fresh, and they come with all the trimmings, including 2 homemade sauces on the side. Burritos and Tortas were also top notch. This is REAL FOOD, folks. I've been four times and all four times, the food was perfect. It's not ideal for big groups, but a lunch outing or casual dinner for 2-6 people, give it a go. They have a cool little tienda and bakery inside as well, and the staff is kind. I will 100% be coming back yet again.
Grocery store AND a restaurant? Beautiful combo. Staff are so friendly, and their food is phenomenal. Some of the best in the city. They always had it ready in 15 or less when I drove to pick it up. Recommend the quesadillas myself.
Food is OK. Service is not. Eatery is poorly managed. Prices on menu are wrong and misleading. Asked the waitress for the price of a dish beforehand. She quoted the price listed on the menu. Was charged 20% more at the register! Good luck if you don't speak Spanish.
I gave three stars because I have bought chicken from here that smelled funky like 3 times. But everything else is absolutely amazing. The store is kept clean and orderly. The lady's at the front have been nice everytime. And the prices are fair.
