I have had a family member in the Memory Care unit at Watermark for almost seven months now. I first chose Watermark because I loved the layout of the memory care side – residents each have their own studio apartment, access to a large outdoor patio, and multiple sitting and gathering areas throughout. The building feels modern and more like a hotel than a senior home, which I really liked. My brother has a unique situation and is not like the typical memory care resident, and the staff have adapted to his individual needs and are very attentive and kind. All of the caregivers genuinely care and are so patient and know each of the residents well. Sue Anne and Jackie, the memory care directors, are very accessible and responsive, and I can personally reach out to either of them with any questions or concerns, and they also reach out to me if there is anything going on with my brother. I know he is a frequent visitor to their office with lots of questions, and they are so patient and are excellent at redirecting him and keeping him happy. I live out of state, and it so comforting knowing that he is safe and well-cared for. I am grateful I found Watermark at Cherry Hills and would highly recommend them for your loved one!
Watermark at Cherry Hills is a beautiful community. Spacious common areas and the apartments are bright and roomy. The staff is friendly and accommodating from the moment you walk in the door. I know my loved one will be well taken care of!
Pretty building, but that's all. My Mom was there for 3 weeks. There were three instances where food was not ready for residents. They did not have her correct medication orders although they said they did. They gave her a controlled substance without the order they said they had, but refused to treat her once they found out they did not have the order. They will call you to let you know you owe money, but not to follow up on medical needs i.e. orders for medications. The maintenance man told me on 12/27 "I'm the maintenance man, but I'm a caregiver today, because they cannot find staff" this while I waited 30 minutes to get my Moms medications to take to her NEW place. Don't just don't. Please look elsewhere for your loved ones!!!
My loved one has been at the Watermark for over a year, and I am so grateful to the entire staff! From the wellness team to upper management, they have been nothing short of amazing! In the few times that a problem arises, they are quick to find solutions! I wouldn’t hesitate to put any future family members into this well managed and beautiful community!
The decision to take my mom to memory care was so hard, but Mario Romero and everyone at Watermark have been so kind and helpful. It has been such a relief knowing that my mom is safe and cared for by such wonderful people. I am so grateful!
Called to see if they accepted Medicaid. I have a great Aunt I am trying to help. I’ve called at least 15 places. Karen informed me they are private pay but then offered to share a number that would connect me with someone who could help locate a place for my Aunt. Out of all 15 places she was the only one to offer this information. Thank you for your kindness and help.
Think twice before placing your loved ones here. Because of inadequate staffing, it's the residents who suffer. They will wait for an hour after pressing their call button for help and to get out of bed in the morning. If they fall, same time frame before they're helped. Also, folks don't get their showers on set shoes days because of the lack of staffing. One lady wasn't showered for 5 days because she's a 2 person transfer, and one lady wasn't showered for over a month, per her own words! The latter one's moving to another facility. I know of this information because I worked here for 2.5 months as a CNA, and quit recently because of worked to the bone, not being able to take a half hour lunch break, never mind taking a 10 min break during my shift, and a hostle work environment, primarily from 1st shift employees. On top of that, the supervisor of the caregivers and med techs is not right in the head, meaning she will not work on the floor herself when short staffed, thrives on drama, and doesn't know how to retain employees, or get the work schedule out on time. She needs to be shitcanned. Many folks have left the company due to these reasons.
Management's supervision of personnel, IE, personal attention is outstanding. I have been a resident here for two years and I am extremely satisfied with the Watermark as a whole. I am completely comfortable with the feeling of security. The management has great communication skills with me and all other residents as far as I can tell. My recommendation of the Watermark is great. Well worth the cost. On the scale of one to ten, I'd give it a ten!
My grandmother just moved into assisted living at the Watermark. The staff have been so helpful as we navigated the process and flexible as we dealt with the complexities of moving my grandmother from out of state. They accommodated us in having my grandmother assessed at home and did so in a very respectful way that took into account her particular needs. The facility itself is beautiful and well maintained. We have been very happy with our experience so far!
Outstanding care! Making the decision to move my father into assisted living was of course a difficult one. The complete involvement of the entire staff in being personable and interested in my father was heartwarming. Every time we walk around the faculty,, every single staff member addresses my dad by name, and almost always stop to chat with him. Their knowledge of his interests and previous conversations reveal they are is more than professional. The medical staff is likewise personal, attentive, and knowledgeable. When my father was moved from assisted living to memory care, the entire facility’s staff was communicating with each other and with the family. This difficult life stage has been much easier and comforting at Watermark. The facility is as inviting as the staff. It is beautiful, clean, well maintained, pleasant and soothing. I am grateful my father is a resident.
