Elsa African Hair Braiding

I went to this shop a few days ago to get a halo braid, the braider couldn't do it,, she was nice,, and honest about not being able to braid it the way I wanted. I guess she didn't think it would come out right I don't know,, even though I showed the video to her, and the lady in the first chair by the door, so she gave me 2 braids it looks nice but its not what I wanted,, she put alot of gel in my hair and didn't blow dry it my head was wet and cold, the shop is cold, and ran down it looks horrible in there, they have been there for a long time since the 90's and it still looks the same, the lady by the door was giving me dirty looks like she step in dog poo, I will not go back there.

Elsa braids good , however, wastes your time and then gets upset when you ask her to finish. She put a wet towel on me and I told her, she replied it's cold. The towels they use appears like they have not been washed in years.Service: Braids

I got waist length individuals for $180, sat for about 6 1/2 hours, Amy did my hair, shes really great

Elsa use to be a well known shop in the 90’s early 2000’s. This shop really fell off. I showed a picture of box braids with parts that were spaced and not bunched for my 11 year old daughters hair. I showed the picture several times to the braider and at one point had to ask her to take the braids out that she started in the side of her face. One of the other Braiders explained to her two times and ask to see the picture again but she still did what she wanted and gave my daughter too many braids. My daughter was so upset she cried while getting her hair done. The braiding hair they use if too thick and is the worst. By day two we had to take the braids out because they were too heavy and caused headaches. We sat for 8.5 hours and I told the lady it should not have taken this long if she would have listened to what I ask for. A waste of $150. The shop is dirty. The towels look like they never wash them. There was no disinfectant solutions cans for the combs, and it look like they need to invest in some new combs. Ripped up seating. I would not recommend this shop for children. I called the shop the next day and they told me my daughter has a lot of hair. For that reason that’s why I specifally ask for her box parts to be bigger.

This place was the worst place ever me and my brother secluded appointments for 11 am and it was 3 people ahead of us the woman took so long to get done she actually left the store in the middle of doing someone’s hair and came back 2 hours later the chairs are ran down they have a dirty mop in the sink where they wash your hair and the ceiling is falling apart the shop is so filthy I definitely don’t recommend anything to go here never again they are so rude and dirty they need to shut down immediately!!!!!!!!!!!

I will never go here again. They did not do my hair good. I wanted French braids and they took 2 hours to do it!! So, I went to Adamas across the street from them, and they did it nicely and quickly at a cheaper price. Dont go here, go to Adama African Hair Braiding at 6418 woodland Avenue, across the street from them. I just got my hair done there and it was amazing. Im never going to Elsas again.
