Nothing against the campground... calling in reservations is a joke....couldnt even understand what the lady was saying....come on iowa dnr...hire someone who speaks engish....will not do that again

Great price ($16/day) to tent camp, lots of spots in the busy summer season when we went. Clean, people seemed to actually follow quiet hours, and seemed very safe and family friendly. They have their own section of the lake with a swim area / beach and several boat docks and fishing areas. I saw lots of fish in the water but didn't have much luck myself. All the lots seemed to have at least electric hookups and fire pits with built in grills. Restrooms and shower rooms were laid out nearby all the lots so no one had to walk too far and they doubled as storm shelters so you know you'd be safe if the weather gets too rough for just your tent. Nearby gas stations helped when we needed extras and the park staff seemed knowledgeable about the area and directed us to where to get fishing licenses.

Best rv site within the lakes area by far. Has many trees and large fairly level rv sites as well. Compared to many other campgrounds in the area, this had the best bathrooms and shower rooms.
