I was in Charlotte for the weekend and decided to get a haircut. I chose a junior stylist at Emerson Joseph for a complimentary haircut.Amazing Deal I was greeted with a smile, asked if I wanted a beverage, and introduced to my stylist Megan, who was fantastic. She listened to me, gave me suggestions, and gave me a wonderful wash, haircut, and rinse. One of the best fades I’ve received in a long time. I highly recommend Megan and Emerson Joseph. Thank you for the great haircut and experience.
The staff was very nice and friendly. The staff welcomed me as soon as I went in, they checked me in, and offered me a drink while I wait for my stylist to finish up with her other client. I didn't mind waiting since I was 10 minutes early. My stylist was a junior stylist who is still learning the ropes of being a hair stylist. She seems relatively new. Since this was my first time here and being a guinea pig for my stylist, I didn't really know what to expect. She started off by washing my hair, which was nice because it included a scalp massage. After getting my hair washed I told the stylist how I wanted my hair to be cut and styled. I also showed her a picture just so that we were on the same page. While my hair was getting cut, another staff member came to file my nails and gave me a hand massage. A nice addition. My hair stylist would ask the senior stylist and educator for advice from time to time, so the cut took a bit longer than I had expected. Overall, I am happy with my haircut and the service provided. I would definitely come back again and probably would prefer this place over shear excellence.
Emerson Joseph is hands down Charlotte's best haircut I've ever had! I've been to a dozen other shops in Charlotte since moving here, and I can honestly say this is by far the best. The environment and shop is unrivaled - it's like a man cave - there's pool tables, shoe shines, TV's, and the stylists focus on perfection and most importantly, attention to detail.
Excellent customer service and all around experience. I did 12 years in the Navy so getting a haircut was always a thoughtless process just keep it short. I decided I wanted to try growing my hair and beard for the first time in my life and let them both go for about 6 months. I saw Taylor who, after a quick chat about what I wanted to do with the cut, got straight to work. I left feeling like a million bucks!
Always a great haircut and a great experience. They also do shaves and they take their time and do them right.
Yesterday I took my seven year old son on the train down to Charlotte just to have fun for the day. He decided he wanted a haircut ! He looked in the window at Emerson Joseph and he said it looked like a really cool place for a haircut so we went in. As I attempted to inquire about a haircut for my son with a young white female, our conversation was interrupted by an older white lady. She didn’t even look in the computer for an appointment to see it anything was available, she said they were all booked for the day and we may have better luck at a barbershop down the street which was a place called The Cut. The “down the street” she referred us too a barbershop. So I said ok no problem and proceeded to leave. Not sure if it’s her issue with our skin or if it’s Emerson Joseph’s, but it’s 2022 people! Get over it! I was willing to spend whatever it cost for my child to have an experience there! But I guess the white gentleman that came in after us made the cut.
Ana always takes great care of me with a cut and beard trim. I started coming here about 1.5 years ago and I haven't looked back. You get what you pay for and the quality definitely shows. Keep up the great work!
Danielle did a fantastic job. Really an elevated experience start to finish. Allison the manager makes you feel welcome and comfortable. Would recommend 100% Edit: Perri just cut my hair as Danielle left EJ, and I'm thrilled about the result. Her attention to detail was so impressive. The combination of technical training and the luxurious experience make EJ a destination service.
