The doctors are good there, but the administration is ridiculous. Emory is all about the money. I was referred to Emory for a mammogram on one breast. They ended up charging me over $400 although I objected stating that I have health insurance. They charged me with three billing codes and when I pointed it out, they refunded me one billing code at the building. They eventually sent me a full refund months later because my insurance covered the mammogram as I told them it would. Secondly, I was referred to Emory to see a specialist. They scheduled me to see the correct specialist at the wrong building. It was actually the doctor that told me I was in the wrong place. Emory charged my insurance company $300 and me a $40 copay. I called them and told them that I never received a service from them because I was in the wrong place. The woman in the billing department told me that I was charged just to walk into their office. I told her that's not the way it works. She then told me that the doctor looked at my chart and gave me a referral which is where the charge came from. I told her I'm not a patient of theirs and don't really have much of a chart. The doctor did not complete an assessment or evaluation on me to warrant a billing code being used, and I already had a referral from my own doctor. I had to threaten to report them for billing fraud, and the billing department said that she would do a write off. Actually, the billing should have been reversed instead of them doing a write off. I believe that they still have the money from my insurance company. Thirdly, I went to Emory to see a specialist for a virtual earlier this year. They sent me my first bill in October which was over $400 after my insurance paid around $200 and then reported me to collections no more than a couple of weeks later. I don't believe the visit warrants $600. Furthermore, they made me schedule a follow up visit with the doctor just to get the results of the first visit in which they charged my insurance company $359. They couldn't find my results for a while which was weird because I thought the results were electronic. I never want to use Emory's healthcare services again. I have experienced being transferred from building to building for almost two hours because no one knows where I'm supposed to be. Then when they finally schedule me, but at the wrong place, I'm charged. They are not worth the trouble.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I had a appointment scheduled with Dr. Khoury and one of his residents. Instead of him letting me know I would be pushed off to the resident clinic in the future he did not tell me and continue to assist with the appointment with the resident. The resident scheduled two medications for migraines that if I did not read in the pamphlet would have resulted in DEATH. I have been calling for 2 months and Dr Khoury would not call back for an scheduled appointment. They continuously want me to be seen by their resident clinic that could’ve killed me. Now I have to look for a neurologist and been out of medicine for 2 months with severe chronic migraines.
This place went from 5 stars to 0 stars !! Stay away from here, find you someone who cares bc they don't give 2 cents about you anymore. Very disappointed in how far down this place went.
Had an apt. Drove 2 hours there. Only to find out they said “I’m sorry it was cancelled” the np left never received a call I asked to see another provider and no one would see me. Receptionist was nice. He went and tried to speak to the officer manager and she didn’t even have the respect to come out and speak to us. She just gave me a 5$ coupon for coffee. Very disappointed. On ssi and finding a ride plus paying someone to take me it truly upsets me how careless they treated me.
Well organized and patient focused from parking including valet service when needed to being greeted at front door, all the way through visit. It's been worth the 8 hour drive from out of state.
Easy check in on ground floor. Minimal wait time before being seen. Staff friendly and helpful.
Went through a brain surgery at this place years ago. This place has definitely done thier share of the work to help me survive.
This place treated me as a patient rather than cattle. I feel they are on top of their game and will do whatever it takes to get my conditions under control.
I would think this place would have more than one mri machine. I got here early for a reason. Been sitting here forever. Come on have the appointments. And hour apart not 30 mins apart.
If you need brain work. You can come here. If you got plenty of $ Or get Government to turn on the printing press.
