I finally found my yoga home in DC! It took years of trying other studios here, but Epic is the most unique, supportive, welcoming space I've found here. The space itself is beautiful, but it's the teachers that really make it worthwhile. Amie's "peak pose" class is one of my favorites, it's a great class to deepen your practice and learn new poses. But seriously all of the teachers are great people and bring something unique to their classes. I'm also in their YTT program and highly recommend it to anyone thinking about doing it! They've really put so much thought and research into the coursework and materials. You learn so much about anatomical cueing and sequencing - more than many other programs, I think. I've learned so much from Emma and Amie the lead teachers + studio owner and director, and feel like this program has really launched a new phase of my yoga journey.
Epic is an absolutely beautiful studio with a thriving and inclusive community. They offer a variety of classes for all levels and pay a lot of attention to detail to ensure that students have the best possible experience cold towels after hot yoga, plenty of props, peaceful playlists, etc.. All classes are thoughtfully sequenced and offer something nourishing for each students' mind, body, and spirit.
I am very proud to be a part of the Epic Yoga community. I started going to Epic in the start of 2023, as a total beginner to yoga. Now, I’ve not only gained the physical benefits, but the mental and spiritual ones as well. The studio provides all sorts of classes tailored to different levels and is an incredibly inclusive and loving space. I recommend this studio to everyone who asks!!
I really enjoy attending classes here. The facility is located upstairs in a quaint space. The yoga rooms are pretty spacious but intimate enough for a meaningful yoga class. The bathrooms are clean and well maintained. I highly recommend you give them a try especially Natalie’s classes. She’s the best
I stopped in to buy some cbd at the other business in the room. Prior to that I took a mean fall and hurt myself bad. The ladies working hooked up ice and took care of me and I appreciated it.
By far, the best yoga studio I've ever been to. The teachers are so friendly and inviting; they made me feel super comfortable when I first started my journey as a yogi. They offer a variety of classes which is nice to balance more intense, advanced classes, with more relaxing ones. They also have classes at a variety of times which has been helpful to accommodate my crazy schedule. Lastly, the space at Epic is so beautiful! With three large studios.
This is one of my favorite yoga studio's in DC. The instructors are all wonderful! The building itself is a classic DC treasure. Hardwood flooring and original fireplaces not active gives this studio a whole vibe worth experiencing. From hot yoga to slow flow this place is a gem and I highly recommend it.
I love Epic Yoga, there are options for people at all levels of their yoga journey and the studio is beautiful and so relaxing. Really enjoying Natalie’s barre classes in particular - they are challenging but accessible and Natalie is very encouraging as a teacher.
If I had only 5 words to describe Epic Yoga DC, I'd say: magical, inclusive, passion, peaceful, and strong. Luckily, this isn't a tweet, so I have more room! If you're looking for a yoga studio, great, try out Epic Yoga. If you're looking for something more than a yoga studio, great, you should definitely check out Epic. They're a yoga studio and more - they're a community! The space Can it get more stunning? Art on the walls. Exposed brick. Fireplaces as homes for yoga blocks and floor pillows. lots of real wood! skylights in nearly every room. This is as DC as it gets! The place has so much character. It's beautiful. The people Epic has a great mix of teachers that introduce you to different yoga styles and practice. The studio owner, Emma, is WOC women of color - love to see it! And the co-studio manager, Amie, hopefully that's the right title has a background rich in science and yoga. All of the teachers are just as warm with interesting stories, experiences, and practices to share with others. Most of their teachers don't follow cookie cutter classes - Amie and Emma's are some of my favorite yoga classes that I have ever been to! I loved meeting both of them so much that I recently went through their Yoga Teacher Training program from 2021 - 2022. I am so glad that I chose Epic and that Epic chose me! They're a small business - and we know our small businesses have it tough right now more than ever. I've only ever written <10 reviews for places, but this was worth the time. I really love this place! It made me feel comfortable practicing yoga in this busy city. I love it!
Beautiful, locally owned studio space with a wide variety of classes and particularly solid classes/cues for advanced yogis, which I appreciated. I had tried out a few different studios when I moved to DC in 2019 and chose Epic Yoga. It was also a pleasure to teach here in-person prior to Covid and I’m grateful to Amie and Emma for providing me with that opportunity. Definitely check this studio out, either virtually or in-person!
