I originally booked an appointment with this practice as opposed to Emory because of proximity to my apartment. I should have known I would have a terrible experience because the person scheduling me over the phone could not be bothered and continued to cut me off and talk down to me. Upon arrival, the front desk staff was absolutely awful to work with. It took several minutes before someone would acknowledge that I entered the clinic. Once acknowledged, the processing of my paperwork was extremely disorganized. I was then told that I owed payment prior to my appointment because I was seeing a specialist. This is not the first time myself or anyone in my family has seen a specialist using this insurance so I knew this was not the case. After politely informing them of their misunderstanding, they proceeded to rudely and condescendingly insist that I did not understand my insurance and continued to throw numbers related to cost around as if that made a difference. They were clearly not interested in having a discussion and kept rudely repeating the same, incorrect information over and over again. I ended up leaving without being seen and will not be returning to this practice. I should have gone to Emory.
I had a full knee replacement surgery which was done by Eric Furie, and I'm pleased with the results. My after care was with Sandra Radcliff and she was excellent. She listens to my needs and she made sure I was healing correctly and had the proper amount of therapy that was needed for me to get back to my every day life of walking, running, bending, and standing.
Front desk did not make me feel welcome they are not friendly and when I ask a question they frowned up their faces. I must say the nurse that took my blood pressure and everything she was really nice, attentive and professional, she made me feel welcome but that physician assistant she's incompetent, she forgot that on my last visit which was February 16th she ordered a MRI for me. I had to tell her I already had a MRI appointment because she was getting ready to make me another one. They didn't have the results of the MRI I had to wait almost 2 hours before the physician assistant received the results it was a mess.
My experience at Wellstar was great! P.A Sandra help me understand my process and she was very informative! Thank you Wellstar and thank you Sandra
Dr Gumidyala is a sweetheart...I really appreciate the fact that he pulls any films or test results up in the room with you to discuss them and show you what his concerns are and is very realistic and down to earth. He's not hyping his business I felt he was concerned for me
WellStar staff is World Class!!!!! Was greeted up front by a super nice receptionist! Got me in to see a doctor real quick I was really impressed how fast the service was but not surprised! I've always had great experiences at WellStar!!
Dr Furie is a great doctor but I have never saw him again after surgery, also when it come to additional paperwork the staff will not respond to my insurance company, this is not fair I know I'm not the only patient but they should realize I have to get paid in order to keep my doctors appointments and heal. I had a total knee replacement and the type of work I do I need to heal properly.
I have been a patient at this practice for 8 years, having had several joint surgeries. I am completely pleased with the doctors, physicians’ assistants, and nurses and other essential staff. I 100% support them and recommend them for anyone looking for orthopedic solutions.
Awesome experience, Dr Furie, Sandra, Ruth, Lavita, Star, and the entire staff were most helpful and genuinely cared about my health. Very personable people with lots of expertise from the top down!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Congrats Star on tying the knot!!!!
My experience with the doctors has been excellent, but there needs to be more consistent follow- through with delivery of information to patients. I was supposed to have a procedure in December. No one called to say that operating rooms were closed due to the pandemic. I didn't get a call until February asking if I still wanted the procedure! Iwanted it in December when I would have been able to be off and recover m. I could have called them, but I shouldn't have had to. Because of my profession, I now have to wait until June.
