Eric P. Dorninger, ND

I did not feel well for years, with a huge variety of symptoms, and I knew deep down that something was just not right with my health. It was to a point that I had to stop working and put my career on hold. Frustratingly, every visit to several different medical doctors and specialists always resulted in a dismissal of my claims as stress factors, or an attempt to give me another prescription to treat my symptoms. Gratefully, and finally, I discovered Dr. Eric Dorninger and the very nice people of his practice at Roots and Branches Integrative Health Care. Firstly, Dr. Dorninger kindly reviewed the lab tests and imaging reports that I had already taken, so it was a relief that I didn’t feel like I had to start from scratch all over again. He can read a lab report like a story book, so he ordered a few extra tests that I had never even heard of before. It was shocking to see how far out of range some of these new test numbers were that no other doctor had ever considered. Within our first consultation, he had a diagnosis of exactly what was going on. In working with him over several months, he also discovered another and separate major health obstacle that I have since treated as well. As a result, I now feel great, I have my health back, and I am returning to work full time. Dr. Dorninger is incredibly bright and understanding. His naturopathic approach is to get to the ROOT cause of illness and to treat the whole person. I have already sent my wife to see Dr. Dorninger for a consultation. I also highly recommend him to other family and friends. I wish I could give ten stars. Thank you Dr. D for all your help and kindness!!

Had my 15 minute phone "interview" with Dr. Dorninger to see if I was a "fit for him". That should've been an indication that he's not the right person for me to work with, cocky attitudes are not appealing at all to me, but I was hopeful as I'd heard he's helped others with mold, and has done talks about SIBO, and I've tested positive for both. However, during the 15 minute conversation he hardly let me get a word in edgewise when he went on a rant about the inaccuracy of the tests I'd had performed, though they were the first results that I've had in years of trying to find answers, and treating them has seemed to help my symptoms quite a bit. I just wanted guidance on how to work with multiple diagnoses and my (much more humble!) naturopathic doctor suggested I seek a specialist. Anyway, when the 15 minutes was up, and I'd barely just started talking about my symptoms - only scratched the surface of them actually - he cut me off and said simply that all the other diagnoses I've been given are wrong and that my problem is "hypothalamus dysregulation". Really? You think you know my problems well enough, after only hearing a partial list of my symptoms, that you think you can diagnose me with perfect confidence? I don't think so. After the call, I did some research about hypothalamus dysregulation, and I only have about half of the symptoms and the tests that are usually run for it are all completely normal - my docs have already checked for those things. Needless to say, I won't be wasting the $2000-3000 up front for testing that's expected before I'm "privileged enough" to work with you. I'll be finding someone else who actually listens to their patients.

Summer 2015 I started seeing Dr. Dorninger because 3 other doctors couldn't help me. Dr. Dorninger's took the time to listen to my whole story, learn about my family health history, my injuries and illnesses through my life, he took many lab tests and he found the root causes of my mystery health problems. Like high inflammation, Biotoxin illness from toxic mold exposure, and Vagas nerve dysfunction which caused my bowels to not work well. He put me on a gut healing plan, got me on a protocal for the biotoxins, and one to decrease the inflammation, and gave me exercises to improve my Vagas nerve function. He and his wife Sarah are really caring and excellent Acupuncturists as well, the best I've been to in 30 years! Their Acupuncture treatments have brought energy back into my weakened body, and now I bring my mother also! Dr. Dorninger is brilliant and he is a life saver to me!! I highly recommend him!!! And conveniently blood draws for lab tests are done at his office, so patients do not have to go elsewhere.
