Came to Expresso 77 Saturday night to see my friend Jon Christopher Allen perform in this quaint and comfy coffee shoppe…that is way more than coffee! A wall of windows that bring the outdoor in. The weather was great. The folks are friendly. An overall good time. Posting this review to share my experience and boost local businesses that survived the pandemic and still serve the community.
Went for drinks/snacks with a friend on a Thursday night and it was absolutely lovely. Ordered a slice of carrot cake, it was moist and not overly sweet. We ordered a charcuterie board which was loaded with more than enough cheese, meats, nuts and fruit for 2 people. The person who took our order at the cash register was very helpful and helped us decide on a glass of white wine we'd both like it was absolutely delicious. And we both ordered frosé's afterwards and it was also delicious. The atmosphere was great, restaurant is beautiful, and excellent service. Would definitely come back!
The breakfast wrap was especially delicious. The honey bee latte was a bit on a sweeter side but nice too.
Great atmosphere. The staff is the best and variety and quality on the drinks! Overall 10/10 experience
Cozy place around the corner for a breakfast and coffee! The terrace is pleasant and comfortable, not overly crowded and the street is somehow not too noisy. Will come back later to try their pastry, we tried the croissant and it was very good. Their ice brewed coffee was great too, not too watery, they stop using plastic straws which I good too I guess...
Service was slow but they probably just need more staff. Ambience was hipster cool and relaxing. You could work there in the day it seems but there would be someone hovering over your shoulder. Food was decent-only tried a drink and pastries, both were above average for sure. Good place to catch up with friends and chat.Food: 4/5
Iced Chai Latte is good. The ambient is welcoming. Nice Tame Impala tunes in the background. Recommend you come here to have a pleasant conversation and catch up with a friend, coworker, or client over a meal and beverage. I have not tried the food yet but many options for sandwiches and wraps are available. Outdoor seating is a plus. Daniel made me feel welcome.
Beautiful relaxing atmosphere with wonderful coffee and espresso. Delicious sweets and sandwiches as well as wine & beer. I hear that they have music on the weekends or poetry readings. I am looking to move into the neighborhood and picture myself coming quite often. I look forward to my next visit.Food: 4/5
similar to other reviews - bizarre and arbitrary laptop policy. can’t use laptops outside or on the small tables inside. only the communal table. was here last year and there was no such policy. not sure what’s changed but won’t be going back.
I’m writing this review from two separate perspectives. One being from a remote worker and the other being from a regular person. As a regular customer/consumer, Espresso 77 offers a great selection of both coffees/teas. I think this place really thrives from those going on coffee dates or getting meals with friends in a more casual setting. I haven’t looked too deeply at their alcoholic selections but maybe that’s something I need to come back and experience to review it better. They have an outdoor area too, which if I remember correctly, is only open in the mornings7-12. I can imagine it’s a nice spot to get brunch. If I could, I would give this a 4 star experience for a local cafe. As a remote worker, I would not recommend really coming here unless they change their laptop policy. I was really excited to work from their and that diminished greatly when I got there. There was a 2 hour limit and they pushed everyone into the center table. You have no access to laptop charging either. Not friendly to the average remote worker. At this point, you’re better off going to the Starbucks just a couple of blocks down the street. From this perspective, I give it a 1 star. If you average out the stars, it comes out to 2.5, but I rounded it up to a 3 star review because I do think it’s a good cafe. I think if management were to make it apparent on the website that their laptop policy is what it is, it would help set expectations for anyone coming to work here and maybe you wouldn’t get such bad reviews from people. I did look up work friendly cafes and this cafe did show up relatively close to the top of the list and I think that’s inaccurate.
