I can no longer recommend Fagan Audiology, and I have dropped my star count to indicate the change in service. Sadly, Dr. Taylor is no longer with Fagan Audiology. I have had continuous issues with ReSound hearing aids. In the past, the personnel at Fagan audiology would do their best to correct issues, and most often send them for replacements. I would get loaners while I waited for repair or replacements. Now, they won't hand out loaners, so I spend a lot more frustrating time without hearing aids. Having to deal with faulty, EXPENSIVE Chinese-made ReSound hearing aids, and a lackluster local support system, I have changed my rating to two stars and do not recommend Fagan audiology.
I'm brand new to this hearing aid thing and I have a lot of learning to do. These folks have made it an adventure. A positive one. Every step of the way. I'm glad they're on my side and I look forward to working with them as the technology changes and I learn to use it better. Dr. Taylor has held my hand all the way along but honestly, everyone in the Center is helpful and responsive. They do good work and stand behind the product they sell.
My mother was very comfortable and said Dr Taylor was very nice and she looks forward to being a patient at the Fagan Center. She also is looking forward to getting hearing aids that actually help her hear better. Thank you
Dr Taylor is a welcomed addition to this practice, bringing excellent skills. She built a good rapport with my 95 year old mother and listened pardon pun attentively to her concerns about a new hearing aid. She was even willing to have them remade to better fit my mother’s ears.
I was met promptly by the audiologist and we discussed my hearing difficulties and my expectations after possibly receiving hearing aids. After the test the results were discussed with me along with discussing complications of my particular hearing loss in various situations. A range of options was discussed along with costs and financing. This spring I will be receiving my hearing and look forward to learning how they will enable me to engage in more conversations. I look forward to enjoying more of life's daily activities and personal interactions. I would recommend the Fagan Center for Audiology for anyone in the Greater Portland area. January 26, 20021 : Today, several months after getting my hearing aids, I went to Fagan I went to seek a replacement hearing aid that I lost while shopping. They helped me order a replacement hearing aid, they informed me that my co-pay can be made when I am fitted for the new device. They also gave me lanyard for my hearing with a clip for my shirt. I am very impressed with their knowledge as well as their patience with a young, geezer clutz.
Being retired, this represented a significant investment for me. After visiting several businesses, I felt Fagan Center was the best fit for me, even living in Saco and having to travel. I was right! Everyone is friendly, welcoming, and professional. I deal with Dr. Boothroyd, I haven’t had many questions, she manages to cover everything beforehand. She’s making sure I get the most out of my purchase. I would have been happy with just being able to hear again but, as I’m learning, there’s so much more. My comfort and education is important to everyone at the center. Overall, I’m disappointed that I can only give a five star rating. I highly recommend this group. Happy Hearing!
This is a group of people who are more concerned with your use and happiness using your hearing aids then they are making a sale and never seeing you again! The staff is always pleasant and caring. Once you have hearing aids, they track your progress, adapt the hearing aids to make your use of them easier for you to use, and continue to monitor your use. Their goal is to know that you are really hearing better! Kudos to them! In my experience they are far superior to other companies that I have experienced in the greater Portland area.
Gina was great. She was keenly aware of the degree of my hearing loss within the first few seconds of our introductory conversation and thoroughly investigated the cause of my malfunctioning hearing aids. She had them working again in just a few minutes. I would recommend her in a heartbeat.
One of my husband's hearing aids had become broken and we just stopped in at the office to ask about it's ability to be repaired and the audiologist took us right in and discussed all of his options. He ended up ordering a new pair, as his insurance was eligible for new ones, and got them recently and he is VERY pleased with them and with the personal yet professional care at the office. , Dr. Boothwate continued to help me through different issues with my hearing aides, always willing to help and always gracious about it. When they say "guaranteed satisfaction," they mean it.
Appointment was on time. All my questions were answered. Didn't feel rushed at all. Made a few adjustments to my hearing aides and told me to let them know how they were working. Would be happy to make additional adjustments if needed.
