This is the place for authentic, delicious kielbasi, country style, or any type you desire! The poppyseed bread is wonderful. Jams and spreads and many other fine foods are available- I will return.
Droto's Bros. owned the store for years and had fresh, store smoked and store prepared meats, including rice hurka rings. Everything was always delicious and FRESH! So, we tried the Hungarian Meat Market and we are sorry to say that we recently bought two "rings" of hurka - one blood, one "white," and frankly, they were FROZEN, and when defrosted and fried? YEECH!!!!! I swear those hurkas have been frozen for a long time - I removed the casing from the blood hurka to find a layer of hardened meat - it was disgusting! There was a distinctive rancid fat taste as well as notable FREEZER BURN so we had to throw it away! NOT GOOD! NOT RECOMMENDED for hurka!! Really - shouldn't sell stuff like that to the public!!!
Great tasting Hungarian delicacies and very courteous service! Our weekend breakfasts are so special with their double smoked bacon!
FRESH cold cuts, freshly made Hungarian hamburgers, kolbasz, links & bread. Super clean store with amazing variety.
This is the best market with I dealing. The food is amazing and the shipping is fast. Thank you for doing supper service.
For years I went to this place when it was on the upper east side to buy their deep fried pork rind/bacon. This stuff is addictive. When they closed, I was so disappointed. Then I found out they opened in Connecticut and they ship! I immediately ordered my favorite deep fried bacon. Ii can't wait till it arrives.
Visiting the Hungarian Meat Market has been a tradition in my family since my grandparents immigrated here in 1956. Four generations have carried on holiday traditions with delicious sausage and spices from the market. The holiday treats are a sweet reminder of my heritage. I wouldn't go anywhere else
Great little market. Butcher makes his own sausages, frank's, bacon, etc. Lots of Hungarian canned foods, fresh paprika, breads. Best keilbasza, his own as well as Bende. Dont pass this place up if you like meat and authentic foods. I make a point to stop whenever I'm in Fairfield. Not too many places like this left.
Great selection of food. Good service. Best market to get Hungarian food.
Delicious food, interesting imports that we can't find elsewhere, and friendly staff.
