Decent espresso drinks and standard fare pastries not made in house. Normally this would be a 4, but considering the selection of surrounding cafes, there are a select few that have better coffee at a slightly more competitive price with even tastier pastry selections.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: Yes

If you want specialty coffee and interesting flavors and a great atmosphere, definitely check this out. Onyx coffee! Out of Arkansas? I haven't heard of another shop in town using that, and it was every bit as amazing as I remembered. I appreciate that they have an espresso blend for those who want the more chocolatey traditional notes, and a single origin Ethiopian today for those who want something to pop. I guess I'm falling into the cliche that the other Ben below mentioned, although I can't tell what he's actually trying to say, but they do oat milk expertly well. If you're a fan, you know they're not all created equal. This is on my fave block in Sellwood. Cappuccino was a bit more of a cortado size, and I'm really happy it was. The fruity notes popped super hard. Best capp I've had in a while! The barista was a great communicator, super approachable, and made us feel welcome. Thank you for curating the space with great flowers and lots of beauty. Can't wait to come back.
One of the BEST spots for coffee in Portland—a total surprise. If you like good black coffee then head here—they use Onyx coffee perhaps the best roaster in the county and are the only place in Portland as far as I’m aware to do so. INCREDIBLE. Humble staff, great barista training and education. Hope their food menu also grow and improves. Has so much promise and again, OUTSTANDING coffee and kind staff.
Had a blast breakfast at Fairlane Coffee with their delicious toasts. The avocado toast looks simple yet is quite flavorful with a generous layer of avocado slices; the nut butter banana toast feels homey and hearty, a delight to have in the morning. Both toasts are made vegan and on grand central bread which tastes so good. I would love to come back again and maybe try some of their pastries, they definitely look good! Service is friendly with a laid-back vibe. There are plenty of outdoor dining tables in the courtyard next to the coffee shop.
Kind service, delicious coffee, great space. They as re only offering outdoor seating currently. But a good amount of spaces outside. Oh the cinnamon toast brought be back to my childhood
So much natural light! Also the coffee was amazing! Had a Ethiopian Cappuccino. They know their coffee well.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: Yes
Mediocre coffee, people were really nice though. Not a big fan of the seating but I kinda do not really like the industrial look and thats kind of a personal preference. I think its a nice neighborhood coffee shop but not someplace I would go out of my way for.
My new favorite breakfast. One of their silky smooth lattes and the Emory’s avocado toast that looks like a fairytale. I drive from West Linn just for it.
The atmosphere is bright, filled with plants and a lot of wood. Very cool vibes. Coffee was good. The barista for me could have been a little nicer.
