Fat Albert's Breakfast Cafe

It was a solid, "ok". That's upgraded from a "meh" only because it was barely better than a meh. Cash only, so be prepared. As always, ordered some staples of cafe breakfasts; eggs benedict and oatmeal. It was... Fine. Nothing close to what I read in previous reviews. The benedict was cooked well, potatoes were not quite country. The hollandaise was underwhelming, thin, and was served from a container kept on the counter under a heater. The oatmeal was slightly al dente, which was a disappointment. Overall, it was food. It will produce a poop.

The worst chicken fried steak I have EVER had ANYWHERE EVER... Please use this is constructive criticism. It was a 1 inch thick piece what tasted like before I spit it out freezer burned extra lean ground beef that had been overcooked into basically a disgustingly grotesque piece of hot garbage. Also, the hash browns for lack of a better name are very strange. Basically huge pieces of unflavored potatoe.

This is one solid, seriously scrumptious and satisfying breakfast here at Fat Albert's Cafe in Westmoreland. Killer country gravy, great coffee their own house blend and quality-in-this-here omelette action. Biscuit and pots absolutely on point as well. FTW.

Great breakfast options and quick service. Had their Oregon mixed berry french toast special. Perfect combination of sweet and tart. And the bonus, my coffee mug never ran dry. Be aware, they only accept cash but there is a Wells Fargo ATM just a little north on Milwaukie if you need it.

This cute little cafe is hole in one! Tucked away in a hole in the wall space, its homey and delicious. I loved the Marionberry French Toast. The hot chocolate wasnt the best but it wasnt terrible.

Loved the place. Everything is priced quite low unlike every other restaurant in Portland that thinks they’re some high end place. The food was great and the service was just as great! Our server was great, she explained everything to us and the food came out very fast. The restaurant is also in a nice area... pretty hip but so if the rest of Portland. I would definitely recommend going to the place.

Fast service, delicious meals, great process! Lots of outdoor seating too!
