10/02/2021: 4.50 out of 5 - Came here after a Saturday run with my group. Everyone was in agreement in trying a new place. We were able to sit inside for brunch. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much. Moreso, after getting my cup of coffee. However! When the food came out out, we were all pleasantly surprised with the food. It all looked nicely cooked, plated well, and most importantly, it was VERY TASTY! Great prices for the most part, too! The service at the Moreland Ale House was just spot on. Attentive, not intrusive, but all-around friendly service staff. Moreland Ale House is spacious and very clean. I am picky establishment person when it comes to cleanliness, but very big on looking at the vents of a place. Despite the coffee needing to be better maybe I should have had a breakfast beer , everything else under the roof made it worth the visit. So, if you are in the area, give Miranda Ale House a try, and decide for yourself. Enjoy!
The Moreland Ale House- helping us answer important questions like, why are Americans so fat? Great burgers and fries. Had the Burger week special and it was amazing. So hard to get a burger done medium and they nailed it! Nice tap list but I was there for lunch.
I came here during Wing Week and got 6 of their habanero pineapple wings for $6. A not-so-hidden dive bar in the heart of Sellwood neighborhood of Portland, OR. It was Saturday during college football season and half the place was packed with UofO Duck fans, while the other half was of Bama fans while both teams played their respective games and yelling and cheering ensued. You go up to the bar to get your drinks and order then take the number to any seat and just wait. No frills, but I can see how the community would love coming here.
Stopped in for Burger Week and had the "Best Damn Burger" with a side of fries. The burger was alright. Good onions and cheese, thin patty. I was disappointed to pay $6 for basket of cold fries.
I visited for the first time, during Portland Mercury's Wing Week 2021, to try their Asian Orange Glazed Wings pictured. They were excellent! I would say that they landed as my sixth favorite, overall, after having tried ALL 24 participants, this week, and were one of my favorite mild choices. They were very mild, sticky and sweet, with a refreshing, classic orange chicken flavor. The wings are pepper ginger marinated, lightly breaded in-house, and feature a house-made "Asian orange" glaze. Wonderful! If you are spicy-food-averse, or just looking to cool your taste buds down, to better pace your enjoyment of Wing Week, this is a great option. Service was friendly, professional and accommodating. Very attentive and friendly bar tender. Food standard. Refills on pop. One of my son's favorite places to eat before softball at Moreland park. Nacho plate was dinner for two people.
I ordered the quesadilla. It's good, but the salsa is tasteless, it really needs a handful of salt at minimum. The nachos were also pretty tasteless. The sandwiches are good though, and the potstickers were decent - the sauce could be better though. Drink selection is great.Food: 3/5
Delicious food. Great service. The bloody mary's are fantastic. Also mimosa refills for $2 Outside seating is comfy, inside seating has sport
We came for Sunday brunch. I got the eggs benedict and my partner got the denver omelette. Eggs B we're good - nothing to blow you away but standard. His omelette was a little overdone for my preference - hash browns were great. They do a 7.00 bloody mary and a 5.00 mimosa with 2.00 refills on the weekends. Pretty nice! Walking distance from our house. Will be back!
We were tired & hungry, ready for some good food. This place certainly meet our expectations! We ordered the peanut sauce burger and it was delicious! The hand cut fries were not quite the right texture, but the flavor was good. Our table had the pork sliders & the hot beef hoagie - both we're delicious! I would definitely recommend this place & would be even more happy if this was my neighborhood bar! Thanks for the great service & great food!
