The rooms are overrated. It stayed hot in there. No air or fan in the bathroom. We had to take cool showers so we wouldn't suffocate, in doing that, we had low water pressure. The servers in the lounge kept disappearing. We had to go find them every time we needed something. The whole hotel smelled so great. I loved it. It was clean and beautiful. The employees were very nice and helpful.
Nice renovated property with amenities including gym, sauna, jacuzzi and swimming pool. The rooms are modern and spacious, corridors and lift halls clean and well maintained. The lobby is spacious, well lit with plenty of seating space. Staff at front desk was courteous and helpful. Lobby bar and Courtyard bar staff was also friendly and knowledgeable about activities within the hotel vicinity. Hotel is within walking distance to White House and short ride to mall and other monuments. Public transports and taxis are available on the doorstep. Street parking is also available in addition to plenty of parking garages. Breakfast buffet could have more variety. Overall, a very pleasant experience.
We were underwhelmed. We attended the Christmas Day brunch and stayed overnight for Christmas. The brunch service was excellent and the staff were extremely attentive and accommodating. The food was OK, but we did not expect much more for a buffet. The room, however, was disappointing. The air quality was poor and the thermostat could not be set to adjust the temperature in the room. We woke congested and unable to breathe; there was also a rank odor in the room that smelled like a wet dog We called and asked for a manager but no one ever called back. We complained at check out, but little was done about the matter. The front desk seemed indifferent. None of the soaps in the bathroom had been replenished in the shower. We expected a bit more for a 4 star hotel. Not sure we would stay again…as locals, we love to explore hotels and provide details of our journeys. We would stick to the Four Seasons Georgetown as our top recommendation, as this was more of a 2/3 star experience.
Nice property, good venue for a conference. Rooms are very nice and the staff is friendly and attentive. My only knock is the wifi network is pretty bad. It was difficult to participate in Teams calls. Everything else was great - especially if you need to be in the Georgetown area.Rooms: 5/5
Pathetic staff and Managers. There were so many issues since we arrive at this hotel but we ignored them and checked out. They charged us twice for the same stay. We reached out to the hotel with all details to refund the amount they charged without our authorization on August 24, 2022, and followed up several times via email. No one has come back to us yet. I am posting this review in hope that they will reach out to me and process a refund. It's been more than 15 days now.
The second you arrive Valet parks your car $56 overnight super friendly & helpful. The front desk is very accommodating and informative, the cleanliness of this hotel is unlike any other from the second you arrive. The ambience & the decor are beautiful. The staff, including the waiters are so kind, they even filled up our personal water canisters before we checked out. The room itself was so clean, and that bathroom was just so fancy! The beds were comfy & the pillows don’t flatten the second you lay down. Everything was just so great. Im just bummed we didn’t get to stay longer to enjoy that sauna & hot tub. Super nice hun & pool too. I recommend the brioche French toast for breakfast & eating on the terrace at the outside bar. So peaceful, they have pretty lights & comfy couches to relax in, I loved sitting out here at night. Open till midnight. We would DEFINITELY stay here again. Georgetown is safe & close to ALL the attractions within 10-12 mins of driving. Rent a lime bike or scooter to get around!
Comfortable hotel well situated between Georgetown and the Washington DC sights and business district. The room was large and comfortable, but the view of the car park was a disappointment. I was also disappointed with the bathroom, a very small “in the bath” shower that was difficult to use. Every other hotel of this standard in Europe or Asia would have a separate shower and I would have expected the Fairmont to live up to this standard. The service in the lounge was also lackluster, I sat for 45 minutes to see if someone would serve me and eventually gave up. All in all fine, but significant improvement is needed to live up to expectations.
