The friendly, helpful assistant and knowledgeable doctor did a thorough and careful exam of my eyes and really made me feel comfortable during my visit. The eyeglass selection is fantastic and my insurance covered the majority of the cost. 
This is a great place to get your annual exam and cool new eyeglasses.

I am shocked this place is still in business!!!!!!!!

The Dr don’t talk other then 1 better or 2. 

I wanted contacts not glasses. All they wanted to do is sell me $300 Lens. They seem to care more about that then my eyes. 

I wanted contacts and I had to bring that up so I can order. The lady placed the order and on my way I went. The next Thur. No call so I call. The lady didn’t put me on hold and I can hear that they messed up. So they said they had to order again. The only reason I went there was so I had contacts for vacation. So the lady told me that they will be there maybe Friday. I called Friday and nothing but (no big deal I still had a week till vacation) when I talked to the lady Friday she insured me that they were shipped Friday and would be here Monday or Tuesday. No call, so I call Wednesday. and now they are on back order. 2.5 week of waiting I told them to cancele the order I don’t even think they would of called me if I didn’t call to tell me they were Back Ordered. I went in 2008 and said I would never go back. Some reason I tried 10 years later 2018 and it was worse. I can’t understand how this place is still in business. I work with 300 people and I will let all of them know about my 2008 and 2018 experience.  To add glasses would of be about $400 and contacts would of been about $300. They will never get a penny from me. People if you care about you eye and kids eyes don’t go here.

Terrible!  The doctor is good, but the rest of the staff are horrible!  They (John) try to sell you the most expensive glasses there.  They don't run your insurance until you pay off your portion.  Mine changed in the meantime.  They never told me.  I was not able to afford those glasses.  I am currently waiting on a refund.  Jan said she'll get back to me as soon as she gets to her computer about my $500 refund.  That was Friday.  Today is Monday.

I would seriously give negative stars if I could. Went there for both a contact and glasses exam as glasses do not work very well for me compared to contacts. The incompetent staff completely ignored my contact exam I mentioned several times. To say the least my business is going back to my competent doctor even if it takes longer to get in with them. Quality and customer service is worth the wait.

Edit: unsurprisingly these people are too dim to know an obvious username. As I was there on the 31st. Still no glasses.

Dr smay atf family eye care associates in new kensington has great service and great employees. Dr smay is differrent one of the best and would not go any where else for eye care for our family
