I've been a patient at Family Practice for something like 30 years, and I can't speak highly enough about this group. The medical care is top quality, and the staff is lovely. When my daughter was growing up, the fact that the same caregivers were tending to our whole family was a big bonus. The PA and docs I've worked with at Family Practice have been caring, knowledgeable, thorough, and patient. They even have senses of humor. What's not to like?
I love Family Practice Group. My doctor listens to my concerns and encourages me to be an active participant in health care decisions. I haven't always had the best service from their front office staff, but it's a busy practice so I'm sure their job is exhausting. It seemed like they recently hired more front office staff, so hopefully that helps.
Worst Primary Care provider I have encountered ever! I picked this facility for it's convenient location. They asked to me sign up for a new patient enrollment visit. It was a virtual visit, where the doctor went through my medical history and asked routine questions. I have to admit that most staff and the doctor were kind. But surprisingly they billed this visit as a regular office visit saying that because I answered yes to the question: have you experienced any fatigue lately so it's considered the doctor made a diagnosis on me which is call her back if the issue lasts more than 2 weeks. Their explanation is that if any issue is brought up during a supposed to be preventative visit, it becomes an regular office visit where an diagnosis is made. During their preventative visit, patient should only be screened for something but not talk about any issues! I don't know if doctors are different in Mass. But I have never had a PCP who draws such a tight line on preventative visit. I am a healthy person who generally only need an annual check up and flu shot from PCP, I can not get on board with this kind of primary care philosophy. Hope I have better luck at a different office.
I wish I had seen the reviews here before my visits. The visit itself was fine but the bill was just beyond ridiculous to me, similar as other reviewers have mentioned. They basically charge extra bill items during my physicals exam - the office saw the note has mentioned advices to take vitamins or some questions and answers, which they insisted not counted as preventive care. I called twice to ask if they put a wrong insurance bill code. What's beyond ridiculous, is the office did clarify as "If during physical exam, the doctor asked you if you have pain during period, and you answer yes and several questions, and the doctor diagnosed it as pain and mentioned one sentence you can take pain killers before the period" -- that counts as treatment beyond preventive care. The whole conversation was even less than half minute. My past physical exams in other places has always asked about period questions and none of them billed like this. But this office even sent out an electronic notice to show you about their "authority" about the bill. I would say be careful here, as there are many $$ traps.
I like Dr. Brodsky very much. And actually every doctor my family has seen there is good. The office staff is THE WORST. They are rude, disorganized, they have failed to send in tests, list billing records, gossip in front of patients... consistently ask about my husband although I am married to a woman and have noted this at least 10 times to them. I have written this entire review while waiting for someone to answer the phone at the practice. I only stay because of Dr. Brodsky. They need to start all over again with a new office staff.
I'm sorry to pan this place for the covid vaccine. My wife and I signed up, but it appears that the state had cut off their supply of vaccine. They did not contact us to say our appointment was canceled. I called them three or four times, but could only leave voicemail, and they never responded. Eventually I found out when I went there in person and asked. I don't know anything about the doctors here, but the staff does not appear to be doing a reasonable job.
The front office staff is horrendous. I recently called to ask whether or not they took Aetna insurance and the receptionist on the phone was extremely rude and belittling. How was I supposed to know there were multiple variations of Aetna insurance? She mentioned that the office would accept all forms of Aetna as long as I wasn't a new patient. I said "Oh, ok! I'm not a new patient" in a relieved and happy tone. Her reply was "I KNOW" - as if I insulted her very existence. On multiple occasions, I have had to walk up to the receptionist desk in order to make a follow-up appointment and the women always look incredibly inconvenienced. The last time I had to do this, the receptionists ACKNOWLEDGED THAT I WAS STANDING THERE yet not one of them took some initiative to get up and walk over to help me. It wasn't until I said "Hello... I need to make a follow-up appointment" did one woman finally come over to help. As a few other reviewers have said, I love the doctors at this practice, but oh my do they need to just start over with their front staff.
worse experience without visiting the place personally. 2 month to take appointment and conformed it twice and again 4 day before appointment receive call to conform again, so conformed appointment and finally get informed that doctor is not available 3 days before appointment. note that the appointment was for me and my wife and as working couple with kids need to manage a lot to be available. such a irresponsible staff
I have been so pleased with the care at Family Practice Group that I recommend the practice to everyone I know. I never have to wait long to be seen, the staff is friendly and the doctors and care-givers are knowledgable, kind, open-minded and compassionate. Dr. Zucker is the kind of doctor who rolls her chair right up to you and asks, "So how are you doing?" This is a rare find these days.
I adore this practice. Every doctor has been exceptional, and so is the administrative staff. Can usually get an appointment within a day if I need it. They always take their time with me and listen beautifully.
