Shopping small pays off - staff is attentive and thorough and prices are in line with other shops/online.  Had a great experience with the manager Brent helping me pick out some new running shoes!

A decent little store. Many types of shoes are available though they will be higher priced. Brent was extremely helpful & knowledgeable about every type of shoe. He didnt hound me to buy any shoe.

To get a right running shoe you have to talk to a qualified expert, get your stride evaluated, discuss your issues and goals. It’s a very personal process, what works perfectly for one runner, may not work for you at all and even cause injury. There are only 3 specialty running stores in the area but only Feet First has been in Columbia for decades. The employees of FF are well known in the community. Not only Feet First is supporting local running community, the Howard Country Striders running club, its racing team and races, they have been building  this community for more than 20 years. Every time I need a new model of a shoe I go to FF (you can’t find newest model for online for less anyway). I know that some of the money I spend will go back to the runners.
